I was just watching the news and there was an item on how White House officials are nervous because he’s going down to Mar-a-Lago now for the holidays and who knows what he’ll do/say/tweet when his handlers are at a distance and he’s listening to his buddies (such as they are; I don’t think Trump has ever had any real friends, just associations with people who have similar interests such as Jeffery Epstein).
The number of times people have posted in this thread “that ship has sailed” regarding Trump and his supporters…well. it’s a veritable armada.

Another factor adding to Trump’s rage is that he has been personally assured by some substantial number of “Christian faith leaders” that he IS Chosen. They’ve been in and out of the Oval Office since he was installed there, and they’ve been flattering him quite far up the wazoo.
So naturally he expects all Christians (as well as “Christians”) to treat him with the deference he’s been told that he deserves.
Some line floating around, maybe even here already…God sent us Trump because He ran out of locusts.

My very religious grandmother, who voted for the Constitution Party in 2000 and believed that George W. Bush wasn’t a good Christian, used to read CT. She kept it in the bathroom when I lived with her as a teenager.
She’s not lucid anymore and she probably has no idea what’s going on these days, but I’d really like to think she’d be sick to her stomach with Loser Donald.

Trump has absolutely no clue as to what constitutes “good optics”. He may be the worst politician who ever lived, much less the worst to ever win an election.
No, no, grasshopper, you’ve got that wrong. Whatever he does, however he looks, whatever he says-- THAT, by definition is “good optics.” On the golf course, at a rally, behind the desk in the Oval Office, on the toidy, licking Putin’s ass-- all of it: good optics, the best optics, perfect optics! See how that works?
Unless he does or says it under LED lights instead of incandescent ones. Then he looks orange.
