First, the Ninth Circuit did NOT (yet!) rule against the sanctuary city order. The recent ruling was by Northern California District Court. He can’t even fucking get the basics right. Not only that, but in insulting the Ninth Circuit, he’s actually insulting the next court that will deal with the sanctuary city case. You don’t jump from the District Court to the Supreme Court.
As for the “judge shopping” comment about the Ninth Circuit, this moron apparently does not understand how the federal court system works. When cases are appealed beyond the District Court level, they are heard in the Appeals Court in the relevant Circuit. Which Circuit Court of Appeals hears the case depends, almost exclusively, on where the case was originally filed.
If a federal case is filed in any one of the nine western states that make up the Ninth Circuit, then that’s where any appeals of those cases MUST be heard. There is no “judge shopping” involved in the process. The earlier challenge to Trump’s immigrant ban was filed in Washington, and this challenge to the sanctuary city ruling was filed in California. The Ninth Circuit is the only appeals court that can hear this case.
I’ve thought about starting to send him fact-based responses to his tweets. Maybe some of the others who read that morass will learn something.

No, this does make sense. Remember four years ago when the Republicans shut down the government while attempting to get rid of Obamacare? They didn’t come to their senses until after citizens started complaining about the parks being shut down. Democrats are threatening to shut down over The Wall and that’s damaging to Trump’s ego so it must be really be the parks they’re after.
Trump is going fucking crazy tonight, blaming Democrats for wanting to shut down the government in order to protect insurance companies (right, they’re the corporate shills and not the Republicans), wanting to shut down the military, close National Parks, wanting illegals to pour across our borders, blocking healthcare for miners, and bail out Puerto Rico (which I guess Trump thinks is a Bad Thing).
Reality is closing in. The Michael Flynn evidence is all over the news today and he’s shit-scared of that. Elijah Cummings stepped up his criticism of the Republicans and their lack of cooperation in pursuing the Russia connections/collusion investigation by the House. Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer told Trump to pound sand if he tries to tie health care to the budget, so of course he did.
He can’t get a win at anything. 100 days are nearly up! He’s going back to the only play he knows: Campaign bullshit jingoism.

My serious worry is that he’s use an attack on DPRK as a diversionary tactic in the hope it will make the Russia investigations go away. He is definitely that craven. And he’s decompensating.
