Buying cars in the MMP

heh Juliette in Indiana they used to call February March and half of April "mud " or “flood” season when all that black and dirty slush finally melted …

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 66 Amurrkin out and mostly dark (TWPTB say mostly cloudy) with a predicted high of 75 and a good chance of rain/tstorms/apocalypse for the day. Tomorrow’s high will be ONLY 63 Amurrkin. BRRR! The big item on today’s agenda is cookin’ the corned beast and preppin’ other stuff for the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig St. Patrick’s feast over to the church house tomorrow. Also I shall continue to hand over candle duty. Not much to do with that bein’ as durin’ Lent we use only the two Altar candles. However, all the candles will get new wicks in prep for Easter Sunday so I shall give a lesson in replacin’ wicks which though not a hard thing to do is kinda tricky. Sup shall be shrimpies 'n grits and some kind of vegetative matter, probably peas ‘n carrots. I got the shrimpies from the Pubic Sto’ whilst out and about yestiddy.

Butters yay for Margarine feelin’ better. Hope this one takes and lasts a long while. Be safe travelin’ back.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, bother of bothers, I must purtify and yet again don appropriate goin’ about the public attire. This will be the fifth day in a row I have to do so. It’s almost unbearable!

Happy Firday Y’all!

I woke stupid early, so I came in work stupid early. But it’s going to be a short day, so there’s that. **FCD **finally got the program working correctly for the parts he’s making, so he’s happy. Daughter has health insurance again and she’ll have her Rogue today, so she’s happy. It’s payday, so I’m happy.

Happy Happy Happy!

And Roxy is 11 months old today!!

Happy Firday!!

I wish I did not see the news when I woke up this morning. I wish I could go back to bed and forget.:frowning:

Happy Firday!

It’s already 63 degrees outside, going up to 70+.
I am enjoying this weather, for as long as it lasts. Supposed to get down into the 40s for the next 4-5 days.
Even though my knees are hurting, we’ll be going to the park again today.

Have a safe trip home Butters.

Good luck handing out uniforms MetalMouse.

No corned beef and cabbage here, but I will be making ham and cabbage over the weekend.

Happy 11 Months Roxie!

Happy New Car Day FCDaughter

It’s only 70 miles to the armpit and I hate the drive.
I have a trip coming up, doctor appointment first week of April.

Me too. I’ve been to New Zealand and Christchurch and of most places I’ve been, that is one I’d never expect to have such an incident.

So I’ll be glumly all day.

52F heading for the mid-70’s and no rain in the forecast. Tomorrow will drop to the mid-50’s. Ain’t spring weather great?

Sounds like everybody is happy, FCM; you really shouldn’t taunt Murphy like that…

Practically half of my city is flooded right now. Most of the area east of the Fox River is dealing with serious flooding. Fortunately for me, I’m on the other side of the river, but a handful of people at my work had to call out flooded. They either couldn’t leave their house because everything around them is flooded, or they’ve been evacuated due to flooding. Fortunately, no more rain for a few days while the waters recede (a little… there’s still a lot of snow melting here).

I heard when I got home from work last night. Now with more info --------- just a giant WTF. :frowning:

Trying to inspire myself to adult and not having a lot of luck at it.

And still no car. The folks at CarMax financial gave daughter bum info. I think she should take her business elsewhere. I am pissed and I know she’s bummed.

Wasted afternoon, and rain is on the way. Dammit.

Home. Thank goodness I didn’t need to drive. I could not have done it. I slept a little in that chair but having gotten up at 0300 yesterday morning I am tahred and sleepy. But we is home. I walked the dog and ate some beef stew. Between getting up yesterday at 0300
And that dastardly chair I am exhausted.

Early bedtime is gonna happen. Happy weekend all!

How aggravating for FCDaughter.

Told you not to taunt Murphy, FCM

Butters, glad you are home and Husband felt well enough to do the driving after the procedure. Get some rest, nappage is recommended.

Soccer fields are open so I’ll be out there from 4:30-7pm, then from 8am-3pm tomorrow. That should keep me occupied (or half-dead).

Juliet, stay dry.

Everybody else take care.

FCM, go elsewhere. It’s not worth it. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…

**Juliet **- I agree, but it’s not my car, it’s hers.

Can o’soup for supper. Because it’s easy. Chillage to follow.

Nice volcano you guys have there.
Be a shame if anything happened to it.

Long day outdoors today. It was cloudy and cool when I went out, hot and N.O.S. when I came home.
I have a lot to do around here and shouldn’t be out goofing off all day, but it sure feels nice to do so.

I have the windows open again today, nice breeze coming in.

Temps are dropping and it’s raining a wee bit, so the house is closed up again. Dammit.

But FedEx finally delivered my countertop ice machine, even tho their status claimed it was delivered yesterday. We shall see if it works as promised. Stand by…

Howdy Y’all! Corned beast got cooked and I cleaned out the grease trap. The grease trap is ICK! I called the plumber we use over to the church house and a plumber will be there Moanday or Tuesday to flush the floor drains in the kitchen. This must be done when the grease trap is cleaned out. The plumbin’ company is good so I know it’ll get done. I asked for Moanday but will understand if’n it’s Tuesday as I did not call until this afternoon. Plus also found somebody to take care of the threshold issue. This [del]Church Janitor[/del] Junior Warden thing is kind of like a job, but I don’t get paid. Really don’t mind it though. Sup got et and chillage ensues. Will be back at the church house kitchen tomorrow afternoon for more food prep and then the feast at six p.m.

doggio, you have my sympathy for irking St. Pat’s. :frowning:

Glad you made it back home safely butters. May you curl up with a warm Louie tonight.
.
Sorry to hear about the car Moooooooom.

Stay dry Juliet!

Irked, knocked off about one, grocery shopped, took Nelson to the dog park, got some ribs and came home to veg.

I weighed myself this morning and am within three pounds of my initial weight loss goal. When I hit it I will weigh what I did when I got out of basic training in 1974. But for now I still look heavier because back then what I had was all toned up. So I will need to start, shudder, exercising.

Howdy all. Soccer went pretty well, about 35 boys showed up and four other coaches and I kept them active for 90 minutes. Rode over to the 12U practice and refereed it for about 20 minutes, then wore out and came on home.

Cupcakes, congrats on the weight loss; I think that I’ll probably be overweight the rest of my life, but at least it seems to be stable (I’m fat, but not getting any fatter).

Swampy, I’m finding that ‘volunteer’ jobs are just as stressful, if not more so, than ‘paid’ ones. I’m responsible for finding coaches and making up teams for 150 kids, and believe me that is quite a job, for which I get the munificent sum of nothing.

Off to bed, up at 6am tomorrow and day will be busy.
