But i like the dog.
I firmly believe that a good dog should be hit every day & a bad dog should be hit…never. (which says something about how hard I’m whapping/playing with 'em.)

Happy Thorsday!
It’s a N.O.S. 39 degrees right now, supposed to get up to 70.
That puts the dog park on the agenda.
Spidey, your post sounds vaguely obscene.
Love your t-shirt Swampy. I want one.
Good Luck to Mr. Butters.
What little bit I was on FB yesterday I had no issues.
Flytrap, I seem to remember the pelican limerick from an episode of Columbo, where he got into a battle of limericks with an Irish poet/storyteller.
My world is a muddy mess right now. It’s been raining off an on the last couple days and will continue today. But we have so much snow that the rain is melting the snow and causing mud and flooding. We still have about 4’ of snow at the end of our driveway, but a lot of that will be gone today; we’re supposed to get into the 50s with rain.
Going to see Captain Marvel with Romeo this weekend and I have free movie passes I won at my company Christmas party. I can’t cash in the passes online, and my local theater has only reserved seating, so I’m going to stop over at the movie theater during lunch to pick up my tickets.
Howdy from South Miami Baptist Horsepistol. We got up at 3 am and hit the road at 4. We got here about 730 which was perfect. Hubby has been shaved, gave blood, filled out tons of papers and answered many questions. Our nurse is the same one we had about 5 years ago. She even remembered us. The procedure is not scheduled until 130pm so nothing to do but wait. I think I will go find the cafeteria and grab a bit of breakfast. We will be staying overnight and the nurse said she would hook me up with pillows and blankets for tonight if I decide to stay here. Still unsure whether I will get a hotel room or stay here.
Y’all keep good thoughts please.
Sending Good Thoughts Butters Way Hope all goes as planned.
Juliet, ah yes, the mud season. And let us know what you think of the movie; I’ve gotten away from the Marvel Universe, but I think I may go to see this one.
FCM, know what you mean about driving. Brother is 400 miles (one way) away and getting up to see him gets harder each year.
swampy, bet the flooring gets done perfectly and in record time after the last couple of days.
Actually had soccer practice, me and two other guys trying to wrangle 50+ 8 and 9 years old boys for 90 minutes…remembered why I don’t like coaching this age, the attention span is short and the mischief level is high. Ah well, at least I got some exercise. Tunder-Boomers are expected this afternoon, so I’ll probably get rained out of the 6-year old girls practice.
Couldn’t access my credit card account at Capital One, turned out there is a problem with Firefox, switched to IE and got in. I prefer the Fox, so I hope they get the bug fixed soon.
All y’all have a good day (especially Butters and Husband-unit)
Everybody take care now.
Sam the Dog knew when he had done something especially good because I would rub his side and then give it a couple firm wacks. And he would look back and smile like “gee-- I really am wonderful ain’t I”.
Generally adulting. Allergies are god-awful but I did get to ride to work the last couple days. May stretch it to today but it will almost certainly be a wet ride home.
Looks like daughter’s car title issues are resolved. So tomorrow afternoon, we should be able to pick it up. Finally.
The three of you can pick up a car? What are you – some sort of circus strongman act? ![]()
Hey – its a slow day around the MMP and I’m bored
Good juju to you, Butters and Margarine (aka, a Buttery-husband). I hope all goes well for him.
Picked up the tickets for the movie Saturday morning. I will let you know how it is, Metal Mouse. I’m not as familiar with the Captain Marvel storyline as I am some of the other storylines in the Marvel world, but I’m going to see the next Avengers in the theaters, and this probably is a must-see before that one so that I understand what’s going on.
Juliet Jr. is still in Illinois with family, and Romeo is working late, so it’s just me and Romeo Jr. tonight. A neighboring department brought in pizza for their lunch meeting today, and I’ve been hungry for pizza ever since. I think Romeo Jr. and I might pick up a pizza for dinner tonight. It’s pi day after all!
It’s in the mid-70s, so the house is open for fresh air!! YAY! More of the same tomorrow, tho it’ll get chilly again over the weekend. Still, it’s a hint that spring is coming.
Daughter has a mid-term today in her drafting class. Dunno what we’ll do for supper, since it’s just **FCD **and me. I’ll inventory the pantry.
And I’m working half a day tomorrow. Then weekend. I’m ready.
And he lives…He is very groggy and complaining of some pain which the nurse assures is to be expected. Waiting on a glass of water. We will stay in this area for a while and get moved into a regular room since they close this area down if there are not at least three overnighters. At least in a regular room I have a chance of being more comfy should I decide to stay.
Thanks for all the good thoughts. Much appreciated!
Howdy Y’all! I watched floorin’ get fixed and assisted EYP with an inventory of hymnals and prayer books. The latter is not a [del]Church Janitor[/del] Junior Warden duty, but, hey I was there so I helped. We need some additional of both plus some of both need to be replaced as they are gettin’ worn from usage. I suggested that as we replace/order more of the Book of Common Prayer we get the large print version. EYP thinks that would be a good idea as well. Also, the threshold on the door in the area of the now fixed floor could stand to be raised a bit. Looks like that’s where water may have gotten inside. That is a very flat area from inside to outside. So now I am on the hunt to find out who installed the door (well, doors since it’s double doors) to find out what to do about that. I can now add awareness of threshold problems to my skillset.
Butters YAY! Hope this fixes the problem for Margarine.
MOOOOOOM yay for FCDaughter’s issue with car buyin’ gettin’ resolved. Now you won’t have to drive RoxStar to daycare every day, right?
I am so ashamed. :o Only vaguely obscene; I shall try harder next time.
Doggio, sorry but what you want is draughting class; this one is about drawing, not drinking.
Yay for Margarine! Hugs to you both (but easy on him) butters.
Mooooom, I get tired of the 400 mile drive up to Dad’s too. During years of my class reunion, I generally skip the family one so’s I don’t have to drive it twice in a month.
Happy pi day!
The pile-o-paper on my desk shrunk considerably today. Then, around 2:30, a cow-orker brought a problem to me for a fresh perspective. It was actually an issue that she was helping the old bat with and the old bat decided to put her opinion in. I will never get that 45 minutes back again. Once we were by ourselves, I told cow-orker that this was why I didn’t split projects with the old bat, only take them over when she messed them up. Oy!
I’ll be glad at the end of the irk day tomorrow. I’m so ready for the weekend (and beer…and Celtic music…lol).
Worked, came home napped. Making chipolte chicken with smoked paprika **N.O.T.**s, and corn with salt ,lime, and roasted jalapenos. And pie.![]()
or it’s a LeCar.![]()
With all the changeover work, I can’t do St. Patrick’s Day weekend this year.![]()

Now we are in a private regular room not the cardiovascular care unit so it’s a tad more comfy. I have decided just to stay here tonight and will attempt to sleep in this fold out chair. By morning hubby will be ready to drive us home and I can hopefully get some real sleep in my own bed tomorrow. At least I am able to view my baby on the puppy cam. The neighbor has already took him out twice and will probably at least visit once more tonight. I am sure he’s lonely but once we get home tomorrow he will quickly forget about all this.
I don’t think hubs will remember very much either. I won’t soon forget though. The next time,if there is a next time, his son will have to come down and go with him. I am over it.
And he just told me he feels better right now than anytime in the last month. Amazing what a properly beating heart will do to ones psyche and moods. Now to just maintain this rhythm.
I’m glad your hubby is doing well Butters.
Sitting here irking, with the windows open, a nice breeze coming in.
Too bad I have noisy neighbors, I think they are arguing.
Irk is slow, so I should be up doing stuff around the house, but my knees are sore and I don’t feel like moving. I’ve been doing a lot more walking than usual, which is good for me, but my knees are protesting a bit.
Great news about Margarine, Butters. Hope the effect lasts a long time. And hope you can sleep in a chair.
Soccer practice was cancelled again, a quick T-storm came through about 3pm, but after that passed through there wasn’t any follow-on rain, so I have hopes for practicing tomorrow. We shall see.
Went over to help a friend who does the uniform distribution, by his numbers there are 92 parents who haven’t picked up their kid’s uniforms (they’ve already paid $37.50 for them). Total for tonight: 0. Will make for a fun time the next couple of days.
Temperature was near 70F today, but the quick rain has brought in a cool front and tomorrow will be in the 50’s. Such is life.
All y’all have a good noght now.
Our long nightmare is over, as the brutal Hawaiian winter has come to an end. No longer are temperatures plunging into the 60s at night but settling into a comfy low 70s in the wee hours.
