C5-55 Commemorative Corvette?

I was driving home from work tonight along Pacific Coast Highway and I saw…a dream car.

It was a C5 Corvette with 1955 styling front and rear.

AFter Googling every combination of everything I could think of, I came up with this . Yes, I know, this is a model, but I swear this is exactly the car I saw on PCH tonight.

Anyone know anything about this? The text about the model doesn’t even hint at a real car ever being built - and I can’t find anything about a real car on the web.

Can you? Not that I could ever afford one, but I’d like to know that I’m not hallucinating.

It’s an add-on kit. This came out about 4 years ago when the Z06 was re-introduced. IIRC, it costs $30 -40K in addition to your Corvette.
