I wish I’d written “one of the kindest things”, because I in no way meant to cheapen (or show lack of appreciation for) all of the other kind things many people here have said to me over the last couple of years (particularly after that day in September). It almost sounds like I was giving kindness a rate of value and placing certain instances of kindness above others. It’s not like I keep a list of the top ten nicest things that have been said to me and someone just got bumped. Kindness is a wonderful thing and your comments, hopefool, were very much appreciated (as are all who have come to my defense or sent me good vibes), and I was just trying to express that. . .
When I linked to that thread the other day I just did a search, I didn’t really re-read it. I just now did though, and it was funny to come across someone saying something to the effect of “they hope I see what I wrote in ten years, and then cringe”. I’m not cringing, but my overall awareness of the issues involved in that particular subject, as well as the overall etiquette here on this board, have certainly raised. I’m glad for it because I feel like I’ve taken alot more from this board then I’ve given in terms of knowledge and loss of ignorance. It would have been a shame to not gain such a bargain on account of not being able to play nice with the other kids.
Cool as hell. Spreading good music is one of my favorite hobbies (and sometimes it’s even a job). You know, before I go, I must say that seems a little surreal for MY online persona, dalovindj, to be having a nice little bonding session & conversation about personal growth with self-described feminist hopefool - in the Pit - in a thread called “Cajun Man Hates Whores!”. I’m guessing no one would have predicted that one in the days of that hip-hop thread. Gotta love this place.
