I mean look at the pictures at the top of that page. Those people are just too happy. We have to stop that, now!
Those meanies on the 9th Circuit voided their stay on their earlier judgment, based on the Supreme Court ruling about Prop 8. But they didn’t wait 25 days to do it! We would have appealed the Supreme Court decision! And even though appeals like that have a snowflakes chance in Hell (which is where all these happy people are surely going!) the Circuit Court should have waited like they said they would.
Waaaah, I can’t stand to see all this happiness in a state I don’t even live in!
NB: The Alliance Defending Freedom (sic) is based in Arizona. They are among the ones that were told they have no standing in this case.
NB2: The 9th Circuit did say they would wait for the “final decision” which would come after 25 days, but they have every legal right to change their mind.
NB3: I do live in California, but I was speaking as if I were a member of this misleadingly-named alliance.
NB4: I used (sic) after the name of this alliance because whatever they might be defending, it ain’t freedom. So they can go suck it (which is probably what they fantasize about anyway).
Roddy
All I can bring to this is to yell FUCK THOSE ASSHOLES!!!
The world needs more joy and happiness. Stop with the ignorance and hatred, people. What other consenting adults do in their bedroom makes NO difference to my upcoming wedding and marriage.
Who cares, and why should they? I’ll look at the pics and maybe snert over the outfits, but really? I mean really? Sometimes my Beloved Buitthead will pull me on his lap and spank me. Why should that be anyone else’s business?
Why should we care who is doing what in their bedroom as long as they both enjoy it?
Maybe* this indicates a serious malfunction in my thought processes, but here’s the string of ideas that just ran through my head:[ul]
[li]The initials of Alliance Defending Freedom are ADF.[/li][li]ADF sounds a lot like KDF.[/li][li]You know who had a KdF?[/li][/ul]I have a feeling it’s long past time I had my flux capacitors recalibrated.
Did anyone else get a little choked up at the joyous, loving looks on those people’s faces?
As to those who would try to block these marriages, I say that anyone who opposes love lives in fear.
I’m mildly amused that every picture containing “Army Capt. Michael Potoczniak” identifies where he is in the photo, as if being the only guy in an army uniform was insufficient.
Get this: The military is now attending Gay Pride events in SF (and, I assume, other cities) in order to recruit. I guess that’s a good thing. I wouldn’t join, but at least they are now free to do so openly if they so choose.
I am all for same sex marriage not just because I want gays to have long, happy, exemplary marriages. I want same sex marriage because I want gays to wake up in Vegas (or similar) after a weekend of party, drugs and alcohol and wake up married to some floozy (or moozy) and wonder what the fuck happened, then divorce after 24 hours of wedded, drug-induced bliss. Also, too.
The California Air National Guard had a booth at the San Francisco Pride Parade. Don’t recall seeing any other branches there, but we’ll see who shows up next year.
