Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Yep, that about sums up my approach. Also known as the Lego Star Wars approach to modern warfare.

(Well, okay, not really - but there are some challenges that you either need a lot of skill or a lot of luck to complete, it would just be nice to get some rewards for those rather than just kills and wins.)

I like the unlocking of things and how they handle the kits, although I wish there were more opportunities for different and unique kits.

It’s multiplayer is good, but it’s still not Halo.

Just got this game for my new XBox. I much prefer the single player game to Halo 3’s (which seemed to go on forever and got tedious). I think I’ll have to invest in an XBox Live account, though, based on this thread.

I used to not play online for video games. That changed with StarCraft and Diablo. If you like video games, you HAVE to play online to get the full effect these days. Yes, you can play the campaign, and those aren’t so bad, but that’s not the real game anymore. The real game is now played online. You’ll realize how good you are/how bad you suck, learn things, improve, and have more fun.
Beware of the shitty kids online, however. I can direct you to a couple forums of largely older gamers that play amongst themselves.

Yeah, I play online with my PC (TF2, some older HL1 mods, too). I’ve only got the XBox for Christmas, so I’ll have to wait till I’m back at university to get connected.

Amen - but vitually no decent game does coop these days. Still nothing to touch Vietcong coop, after all these years :frowning:
