Calling all fans of Stupid Laws

As some of you might remember, I teach speech. Every semester, I have students who are very excited about doing a speech on stupid laws, but their excitement wanes when they cannot find the stories behind the laws. Some of them are somewhat self-explanatory, but others have us all throwing our hands in the air. Does anyone know of any sites that give the stories behind the laws?

Here’s a link to snopes’s Legal Affairs. I’m not sure how much it will help you, though. It’s mainly there to disprove the existence of stupid laws.

Dumblaws.com has some good ones, and even explains the reasoning behind some (not all) of the laws listed.
