Hmm. You know, our ballots are marked with an X and counted by hand. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a recount due to technical difficulties.

(Of course, lots of ballots were alleged to have been fraudulently ignored during the last referendum, and someone stole a car with a bunch of ballots in it from an advanced poll this time around, but those are not exactly mechanical-failure type problem.)

Gee, mark with an X, count by hand… whatta concept.

You’d think so, wouldn’t you? But when I went to a Queer McGill party the other week, I ended up sitting in the corner chatting up the dieffenbachia… sigh maybe it’s just me.
