2 different people in my house want to access the boards, both using the same computer.
How can the new person register , with her newly chosen screen name?
I clicked on “register”, and was greeted with a message that the board already knows who I am.
How do I sign up a NEW user.?
And will the cookies go crazy?
You gotta logout when you’re done with your session. This will allow multiple users to access the boards through a single machine. The logout button is on the bottom right of the page:
While you’re at it, if you have Netscape, it’s a good idea to set up different profiles for different users. Go to the Netscape group on your start menu, and there should be a program called “user profile manager”. Run that, and it’ll walk you through the process of creating a new profile. In addition to maintaining separate logins on this (and other) boards, it’ll also allow each user to have different settings for e-mail, bookmarks, history, etc.
I suspect that IE has a similar feature, but I don’t know how to use it.
