Okay, I think it maybe that i’m just feeling the scratch because I had my friend look around my eye with a flashlight and she said it was clean.
Often when a foreign object gets under the eyelid it will cause a bump to form on the inside of the lid. Even after the object is gone, the bump will feel like a piece of something is still there. Opthalmic ointment can help, but as mentioned, it usually clears up in about a day.
Roll the eyelid up on a Q-Tip or matchstick so you can see the inside of the lid. Chances are you will see the bump.
Love transcends time and death and toilet paper
Vaseline resting upon my dainty eyeball for hours sounds absolutely hellish! Sounds like the cure is worse than the ailment here.

CalMeacham, can a person luge with toilet paper in her eye?
I opened this thread as I sat here holding a sheet of toilet paper to my eyes to control my allergies thinking it had something to do with same. That was definitely a mistake. My eyes immediately started to pour.
This made me laugh so hard I snorted!
So thank you, all of you. Now I’m sitting at my desk with watery eyes and an ukky nose and everybody’s looking at me funny.
Flowerchild, I’ll luve you even with toilet paper in your eyes.
