Yesterday, in the doctor’s office I was reading an issue of Newsweek dated April 23. On page 17, in a section of quotes deemed newsworthy, there was a quote from a Florida state representative, Allen Trovillion. The context was that he was speaking to gay Orlando high school students, (under what circumstances unknown) What Rep. Trovillion said was “God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and he is going to destroy you and a lot of others.”
Can someone from that area(or whoever knows) fill me in on this outrageous statement? How or why was he speaking to the students? How did they react? Do you have a link to an Orlando newspaper? What the heck was going on?
