Can I ruled out my router as the problem? Fire stick issues

Both my Fire stick have an intermittent problem where it says it can’t connect with the network.

But actually it is connected with the network, it’s just that half my apps are blacked out on the screen.

Google says I need to reset my router. But the thing is, all my other devices are connecting just fine.

So it’s not the router; right?

Ftr: nothing has been moved. So I know it’s not the location of the device.

Why not just restart the router and rule it out? Takes 5 minutes.

Anxiety. I have a crappy cable service provider. I’ve reset it before and it’s caused problems. I don’t want to fix it if it ain’t broke.

How do you know the difference between the apps you can see and can’t see is just a matter of caching on your TV? Do the apps you can see work?

All the apps work.

It’s just that I don’t know what I’m clicking on until I open the app.

Can you try unplugging and reconnecting the Fire stick? Sounds like the issue is with that.

Thanks. I’ll have to try that when I get home from work.

I have a similar problem with the Internet connection of my LC Smart TV. It can’t find the Internet and tells me a need to restart my router. Every other device in the house sees the Internet just fine, including several computers. Restarting the router works, but that’s a pain to do, as it means those other computers are temporarily off line. So i can’t do it if my daughter is watching videos with a friend on her laptop, or my husband is in a teleconference at work. But that means i can be frustrated about not being able to watch the things i wanted to watch while i hit the treadmill for a couple of hours.

It’s not an every day problem, but it has happened several times since i set up the TV a few months ago.
