There is a thing called “edging” and it’s used for enhanced pleasure and it’s also used as a technique to stop premature ejactulation.
It basically involves bringing yourself to almost having an orgasm, then you quit. When the “urge” goes you start over again, and when you’re almost at the point of orgasm, you stop.
The idea is you learn to hold off, and or when you do finally orgasm it’s more powerful.

While obviously the theoretical ideal biological experience is orgasm simultaneous with ejaculation, you can have an ejaculation without an orgasm (I’ve experienced that) or an orgasm without ejaculation. I’ve never experienced a girl orgasm, but it seems girls don’t have ejaculations (except in kinky porn videos), so - how do you differentiate between the level/experience of pleasure of pre-orgasm sexual intercourse and that of during-orgasm? Is there always a hard deliniation? Certainly there is sexual pleasure during intercourse for guys, but an orgasm is sort of like jumping to the next level usually - 1…2…3…4…20!+E…2…1… Occasionally I’ve had a more gradual rise if I use a different technique - 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8!..9!!..10!!!+E…11!!..12!..11…10…9…8… But I’ve also experienced frustrating ejaculations that occurred before a level I would consider orgasmic, which then shortcircuited me from being able to get to that level which is high enough to feel satiation. And also, rarely, there is some much greater level of orgasm, depending on stimulation and other factors - and also, there are various other components of the orgasm than level of pleasure and build-up model that may or may not be relevant other than as evidence that men have complex and variable orgasms too.
I’m not sure a dry ejaculation should really count as not ejaculating. The pumping motion is really the ejaculation. When referring to orgasm without ejaculation, people are usually referring to feeling the mental part without the physical. And vice versa.
I definitely don’t think that edging counts as ejaculating without orgasm. It’s just a much smaller O.
