Complaining, lamenting, even a bit of gloating is to be expected, sure. But the hysterics need to stop. It was ugly before the election, it’s now both ugly and uneccessary.
Choices were made. We all have to live with them (or work a way around them

“Complaining” and “Behaving like an asshole” are not interchangable terms.
Every damned forum has thread titles that are full of hysterical bullshit. I avoid a lot of the threads, but there are everywhere, and the assholishness is evident in even the titles.
Sure, it’s someone’s God Given Right to behave like an asshole, I suppose. But some of us are gonna call them an asshole, and we’re gonna ask them to STOP THE HYSTERIA and GROW THE HELL UP.

I was ready to take your word for this, as I have only checked one other forum today. But I just took a look around, and now I have to question what you’ve seen. MPSIMS? Nothing. IMHO? Maybe 2 threads. CS? Nada. GQ? 2 threads, both factual and civil. I’m not going to bother checking GD, I’ll trust you on that.
And truthfully, I just skimmed the first maybe 15 titles in each forum, so maybe I’d see more if I dug deeper. But I don’t see the creeping vitriol you speak of. And even here in the Pit, it seems to have calmed a little since this morning. Peoples’ posts are far more reasoned this afternoon than they were this morning. So chill, things are getting better.
And I still think it’s unreasonable for you to ask people not to fling political mud on today of all days.
We’ve had hysterical bullshit, asshole behavior and plenty of “political mud” already. For weeks already.
