Personally, a new smilie would make me :slight_smile: ; used well, it would make me :smiley: Refining the existing ones could clear up some :eek: at the thought of being :o We could use one or two more. (Their absence makes me :frowning: .) I like jjimm’s it’s :cool:

Really, I don’t think people get smilie-happy around here. ;j (Or should that be slap-happy? D’oh! :smack: )

Ok, even I have to admit that the above is overkill. I just wanted to point out that there will be some situation where you might want a barfy smilie.

Of course there are enough smileys available to litter each post with 'em. But that really only takes one smiley. My point was this: the more smilies you get, the more overly-specific things you can say with them, the more they get used. Boards whose posts are infested with bouncing, jiggling, puking faces are always the ones with pages and pages of different smilies. Boards like ours which use smilies sparingly are always the ones with a couple handfuls of available smilies. That’s what I see, anyway. I don’t need to cite myself because you can check it out yourself by finding three to ten different message boards and noting the correlation.
