Can You Install Ceiling Lights Without Fishing Wires?

I like the look of those new miniature LED ceiling lamps. Only I dread the thought of fishing wires in the ceiling. Flush mount wiring on ceilings look terrible are there any alternatives? (Like cutting into the sheetrock and recovering? Or are there now wireless systems?

Fishing wire is much easier than cutting and repair sheet rock. If you want to surface mount then get track lighting.

There are battery-powered fixtures.

If you’re uncomfortable with fishing wires in the walls or ceiling, hire an electrician. They can probably so much more cleanly than you can yourself, given they do this regularly.

Fishing wires through the ceiling and walls will be the way to go. As **Dewey **said, look at hiring an electrician as they’re familiar with how houses are built and how to sneak wires around.

If you have access to the area above the ceiling, it is quite easy to wire. I am an electrician and have done lights and ceiling fans. You may have to fish a wire for the switch leg.

As mentioned up thread, invite an electrician. They can do it fast. Plus they need to eat, also.

If the ceiling is white or popcorn, you can aim a spotlight at it from off to the side of the room.
