Is there a name attached to this philosophy? There is no God in the conventional Western sense of an old white guy in a beard who has emotional involvement in the lives of human beings (as in the Old Testament). Instead, God consists only of the rules and laws that govern the universe (as in Isaac Asimov’s short story The Last Question).
Scientific pantheism?
Or just plain atheism.
A “God” that’s just a set of rules is sufficiently non-supernatural, I’d think. In fact, I’d say that it’s just a dumb word to use for “physical laws.”
Dewey you might try reading up about this guy
Spinoza and monism. is this near the mark?
It sounds like classic pantheism to me.
