Can you still put your pants on standing up?

I can put my pants/socks on while standing up. I can also still skip Do you remember how to skip, but I cannot put my pants on while skipping, at least not deliberately.

(My daughter made me skip, gallop, double-skip, and canter when I mentioned the thread about skipping. It was like a whole Ministry of Silly Walks demonstration.)

Perhaps not much longer, though: apparently the disc between my last lumbar and first sacral vertebrae has degenerated to the point that the channel for the primary leg nerves has collapsed. Still working on determining a way forward (if any).

My wife was having trouble walking due to a similar issue. She recently had surgery to install hardware to space her L4 and L5 vertebrae back out and fuse them. She’s doing much better now, several weeks post-surgery.
