A cow licking your cat, however, is acceptable.
Not recently.
My first thought when I saw the subject line was “well, it’s winter. Their tongue might get stuck to your car and that would not be good for anyone!!”.
The salt thing makes sense though. Not much you can do about it though, if you live somewhere with moose running around, and you don’t have a garage!!
What the HELL conversation did I just read?
I think the problem is that after licking all the salt, the meese get thirsty and steal your beer. Bad meese! And where do you think the name “Moosehead” came from?
It’s happened at least twice to me at my home in the Colorado Mountains. It really makes a mess out of your car by the way (if it wasn’t a mess already).
The first time it happened, the dogs woke me up, I looked out in the twilight of morning and thought there was a horse in our driveway.
Now it’s common. Moose are all over the place. When they lick my car I just go out on the deck and clap my hands a few times and they amble away. I think that the road salt, or mag chloride must be bad for them.
