Today, we got a card from the federal government about the Cannabis Act. Nothing from the Ontario government yet.
I see that Calgary just opened a new Central Library. That is a beautiful building.
Sweet!
Fuck Canada Post.

The corporation or the union?
I have a bar buddy who is an employee. His account on the extra hours employees are expected to always work makes me side with the union on this one. Constantly working 10 hour days wouldn’t be fun.
I have a couple of things that I ordered on-line that I am waiting for. The notice for one of the items said it due November 16. November 15 the item updates that it is in the GTA and will be delivered the next day. Of course it doesn’t show up and it now says that it will arrive on the 21st. Another package was supposed to be delivered on the 19th is now coming on the 22nd.
I’m pissed off at both sides in this strike, just like I was pissed off at both sides in the college workers strike.
You should have left it. I thought it was funny ![]()
But no Calgary Olympics, it appears.
I think the Olympics are going to be hitting a crisis point, as it becomes harder to persuade cities and countries to spend the gobs of money the IOC requires.
So, Grey Cup predictions?
I’m rooting for Ottawa.
I’m not much of a football fan. I watch exactly two games a year. Living in Ottawa it’s hard to avoid the hype.
I’ll be rooting for Ottawa, but honestly I just want to see a close game. If Calgary wins I won’t be overly disappointed.
I’ll likely be cheering for Calgary, but I’d just like to see a good game.
Heading down to the sports bar later for their Grey Cup party. Should be fun, no matter who wins!

Alessia Cara?
That was my question. “Who is this person I’ve never heard of, performing songs I’ve never heard before?” Maybe I’m just old.
Couldn’t they have Rush or the Guess Who or Loverboy?
ETA: I did win $100 on the squares game at the sports bar, which made me a little less grumpy than I usually am, so there was that. After winning that, I could deal with the halftime show.
Speaking of Canadian bands, I saw the Sam Roberts Band the other night. My 11th time seeing them!
Making a connection in Winnipeg and westJet shoots you out onto the tarmac in a snowstorm. Get walking to the terminal!
Lawn, get off, etc. :;
Fair enough. “You kids…”
Okay, I guess I am officially old.
