Cancellations you wish didn't happen.

I can’t believe no one has said Twin Peaks. My other votes go to:
Sports Night
American Gothic
Nowhere Man

MST3K
The Tick
Freakazoid
Earthworm Jim
The Tick
Fred the Bunny
Futurama

I watch too many cartoons.

Stark Raving Mad - Tony Shaloub was a scream in that show, and I thought Neil Patrick Harris was pretty good, too.

They canceled that show, yet kept giving Tea Leoni’s sitcom chances. Pissed me off.

Um, well, the show hit the airwaves with the skis on. I actually dug the hell out of the second season, when La Croix was an actual character on the show and not just appearing in flashbacks. I loved the “Nightcrawler” monologues.

Jumped the shark when it went to USA, Schanke died, and it went from being a cop show in which the main character was a vampire to a vampire show in which the main character was a cop.

I was watching the reruns on SciFi for a while, but after I’d seen all the episodes a couple times, I started to find it a little irritating. Way, way to heavy on the flashbacks, IMO.
Also, Geraint Wyn Davies is hot, but James Marsters is way hotter.

Mine that haven’t been mentioned yet:
Alien Nation
Nightmare Cafe

Was Quantum Leap canceled? I thought they had just ended it. Oh and BTW saddest ending ever.
My addition:
Family Guy. Probably the funniest cartoon in the history of the world and Fox canceled it… I hate Fox.

FAMILY GUY!!! I guess I don’t worry about that one too much, I have several episodes on my computer for when I bored!!

Joel, as I was typing Sledgehammer I immidiatly thought of Nurses, I’m not sure if I miss that show or not, must not miss it too much, only remember one characters name…Paco (I think?)

Freaks and Geeks

Another vote for Brimstone
also MST3K

As If followed Buffy the Vampire Slayer for three or four episodes last season. The promos were intriguing enough that I gave it a shot. The first episode was hard to get into, which has to be the kiss of death for character-driven shows with a lot of subplots, but I would have liked to see it given more time to develop an audience.

I’m with Ol’Gaffer. NBC screwed that show big time.

Yeah – they did end it (and by the stragest coincidence whenever I watch that ending episode I seem to get some dirt in my eye causing it to water or something…:p) – but I wish it had lasted for more than 4 seasons!

Another vote for Sledge Hammer, Freaks and Geeks, and FAMILY GUY. Arrrrggghhh! Bring back Family Guy!!!

I also liked Men Behaving Badly – but just the first season, before two of the three major cast members left. It just wasn’t the same with the new guy in the short-lived second season.

I was surprised they had the guts to end the series the way they did.

Marc

here, Joel

I’d have to agree that Sledgehammer should have gone on longer, and add to the list that short-lived NBC gem, Grand.

Happy

Impossible. You forgot to mention:

Batman Beyond
Gargoyles
Clerks

I really enjoyed watching Soap on the Comedy Channel. It was weird and funny and then there was that one cliffhanger show. And then I found out that was the last one. Ooh I was peeved!

BTW. The Critic enjoyed a very brief run as a internet flash show over at atomfilms.com Well not really a show but a short specifically related towards movie reviews. They’re ok.

Undeclared
George and Leo
The Trouble With Normal
Andy Richter Controls the Universe
Homicide

South Central
Nothing Sacred
Out of the Blue (well, I was 10…maybe it wasn’t as good as I thought it was)

I’d like to echo Skammer’s picks with another vote for Cupid. I also think Steve Harvey’s first sitcom, “Me and the Boys” was taken from us too early. Also, I’m afraid “Firefly” will soon be joining them in cancellations I wish didn’t happen.
