Cancellations you wish didn't happen.

Invader Zim…

Andy Richter is SUPPOSED to come back as a mid-season replacement.

Another big vote for G vs E. It was like Brimstone but funnier. I loved both of those shows, but the kitchy, 70’s action style of G vs. E was just wonderful, and the camera work on many episodes was just completely amazing. Unfortunately, the second it went to the Sci-Fi channel, it seems they got rid of all the good writters and what not, and the show just went to shit.

I’ll also give another vote for American Gothic, as well as Brisco County Jr.

I’m also a big fan of The Critic. I’m still a little undecided as to whether or not to mention The Family Guy, because it seems that show is always “cancelled” after about six to ten episodes, but is always brought back a year or two later. Kinda like “cancelation” is it’s gimic, you know? I expect to see it pop up again this spring.

Cleopatra 2525 and Jack of All Trades. Okay, niether of them were any good, but that’s why they’re called “Guilty” pleasures.

Homefront was a great show.
Now and Again

I’ll have to admit that I didn’t see too many episodes, but what I did see, I liked. As for the flashbacks, I loved them. It was like two episodes in one almost.
The only things that annoyed me, were some of the lame special effects, like his flying, and sometimes even his growling and fang baring. But I usually overlooked that.

How did it end? I never saw that.

Thanks.

I loved Maximum Bob, and so did the critics. IIRC, it didn’t do too bad in the ratings, either, but it was a summer replacement, and never showed up again. Thank Og I had the foresight to tape 'em all. Hmmmm, think I see a weekend viewing coming up…

**Joey P[/]-ooo!oooo! Where can I get this?!?!? I bored too!

Nick Knight was only actually shownflying in one episode, IIRC. The rest of the time, you maybe saw him go out a window, or his feet leaving the ground, and after that it was all beautiful arial shots of Toronto at night. I always thought that was the best part of many episodes- some of them were pretty lame. Also, the show was a bit hamfisted in its moralizing at times. I actually quit watching the show altogether when I saw the “Flatliners” take-off episode, where Nick wants to relive his death, and have a second chance to just die, rather than become a vampire. The moral of the story, “You have to earn forgiveness”- can’t recall the exact words, but it just turned me off, especially being a believing Catholic, who believes that God’s forgiveness is a gift, and there’s nothing you can do to earn it.

Also, there’s Gile’s speech on forgivness back in S2 of BtVS…

Yeah, I only remember two or three characters. David Rasche’s character and Loni Anderson’s character.

Yeah, soap was pretty good. I launched the carriers of a few people too.
Oh, speeking of older TV shows, I loved the Mary Tyler Moore show. Eight years was probably enough though.
I heard that they were going to do a remake of My Three Sons. I’m glad that so far, it only seems to be a rumor, or the studio execs changed their minds. I’ve seen 50’s and 60’s sitcoms before, and in my opinion, except for My Favorite Martian, and maybe even MR Ed, the rest of them sucked.
Has anybody seen the remake of Family Affair on, the WB I think it is? With Tim Curry as Mr. French? I’ve seen the commercials, and I saw the first few minutes of the first episode. BOARING!!!
Also, wow, Tim’s really let himself go  (Ok, ok, that was uncalled for, I know.)

Project GKR!!!

I too watch too many cartoons.

nobody mentioned Star Trek?

G Vs E
Brimstone

I still treasure a tape of few eps of Sledgehammer. Talk about going out with a bang when they thought they were cancelled after year 1…

(he screwed up defusing a fission bomb)
BTW, I think I saw a promo for Andy Richter -next week, or the one after?

Birds of Prey

The New Fantasy Island

Models, Inc.

I hate it when the Networks can’t give a show a chance and cancel in my opinion prematurely.

And they allow crappy shows that I hate to stay on.

Does anyone remeber the Tammy Fay and Jim Jay talkshow? I really miss it. How could they let such treasures go?

It’s my understanding Tammy Faye wanted off because it was too “stressful” being a born-again Christian with an openly gay co-host.

It seems that every show I really get into, is put into the toilet!

Nowhere Man
Brooklyn South
Now and Again
Freaks and Geeks
push, Nevada (although nobody watched it!)

Whoa… hold on here… When the hell was Birds of Prey CANCELLED!?!?!?

We are only just getting it! New episodes every week! On the WB network… how can it be cancelled?!

Add me to the list that wishes Pretender was still on TV… I loved that show though I missed it as much as I caught it because of my schedule… I want to know what happened to Jared, Miss Parker and their brother!!

V
Parker Lewis Can’t Lose
The original Tomorrow People (the British version) which I was completely and utterly devoted to in junior high…that John sigh My first fan fic!

I’ll second Alien Nation, I really liked that show, althought it started to get really derivative at the end. How many aliens were brought to earth, 250K? How was George involved with every weird thing that happened on the ships? Programmed into a killer, George! Played a crazy Salt water gun roulette on the space ship, George!
