Cancellations you wish didn't happen.

And I’ll be sad when they stop stop making Home Movies and Sealab 2021.

Freaks and Geeks, but it’s already been mentioned. And stepping back in time a bit, The Dukes of Hazzard

Well, I don’t know about Haunted, since I’ve never seen it, but as for Thirtysomething, it had to end sooner or later, or else they would have had to rename it Fortysomething.

My friend is actually taping them, but the TV standard here is PAL vs. NTSC in the US.

I was very pissed when ABC cancelled Lois & Clark. Why? Because they put it up against 60 Minutes and it lost. Well, duh. For me, that show was the best re-imagining of the Superman story to date and was finally finding its legs story-wise. I hate TV execs.

Also, another vote for Star Trek. And Sledgehammer.

Dark Justice-“Justice may be blind, but it can see in the dark!”
Another vote for Dr. Who, with Alan Rickman as the Doctor.

My favorite was Peter Davidson (yeah, you heard me, not Tom Baker, who was very good, but Peter Davidson.)
Dark Justice, wasn’t that the one about the judge by day, vigilante by night who pinned back his long hair when being a judge?
Anyway, I liked the original Night Rider. I was over at somebody’s house when they were watching Team Night Rider…Bleahch!!! Talk about a sucky show. It was worse than Walker Texas Ranger.

That’s a pretty big call to make. I didn’t think anything could be worse than that show.

Nash Bridges!

I’ll second Clerks, The Family Guy, The Critic, and add Brimstone to the list.

Hehehe, nothing worse than Walker? Well, not many shows, true, but what about the very short lived crappy shows like Cop Rock, Frank Leaves for the Orient (on Comedy Central) and what as the name of the Malcom in the Middle rip off that was going to star Kattie Segal?

I won’t mention any names, but some of you are scaring me with the incredible crappyness of the shows you are listing. I’m waiting for the inevitable “I wish they hadn’t cancelled Gilligan’s Island” post.:smack:

Did anyone say MAS*H[?
(All right, it’s not that I wish it didn’t end. I wish I’d been alive when it was a current show!)

I think it was called “Tucker”…there was a show on in the arvo here that starred Katie Seagal that some people likened to Malcolm, so I’m going to assume it’s the same show.

Yeah, I think it was Tucker.
A show that had a good run, but had a horrible ending, had to be St Elsewhere. I mean, everything turning out to be a kid’s dream? Come on.
I kind of liked Time Trax, it wasn’t that great, but I’m a big fan of time travel sci-fi (and the actual scientific theorys as well), so…

Oops, that last post was me. My wife logged on before and I forgot to log off and re-log on as me.

V - at least they could’ve ended the damn thing!

Brimstone - It was such a neat show

Sport Night - I tried to get everyone I knew to watch it, either it didn’t work, or I know too few people

I came into this thread just to mention this treasure of a show. It was a crime that it was cancelled so quickly.

Not a chance! I loved that show. I think it sometimes pops up on some cable channel (Fox Family? TNT? something, I forget).

Thought I should mention:
Andy Richter returns this Sunday.
There were two 2 hour The Pretender movies made after the series. One rather cheapy adds that Jarod escaped with 2 other pretenders and that Sydney and Parker were never informed about it. One of the pretenders “died” but Jarod and the other were able to escape. The one that supposedly died was sent off the the Triumberate and made into a psycho. He was also the one that converted all of Jarod’s peace plans into epidemics. This one shows what happens to Ethan (the half brother). The other movie is Jarod searching for his mom but he gets stuck on a island during a storm with Ms.Parker. So he trys to figure out what his mom was doing there in the first place. It unveils some information about the Parker family and also (dumbly) adds a scroll which profisized Jarod and his escape, and finally him being recaptured.
Also Providence’s cancelation is being reconsidered.

Davison.
