CandidGamera's Comic Book Trivia

Spider-man

Pretty sure they were separate (may have been some team-ups though).

Re: The Losers

They were indeed a different unit. IIRC, they “died” during the Crisis, along with a couple of unrelated second string super heroes, trying to shut down one of the Anti-Monitor’s cosmic doo-dads.

Been a long time since I could get at my copies of CoIE, though, so I may well be mistaken about their deaths.

Question: J’onn J’onzz the Martian Manhunter, had a costumed Secret Identity before being publicly revealed as a Martian. What was his name?

Question: What superhero team was J’onn J’onzz a member of, when he used the above Secret ID?

The question about the Vision wasn’t about who was responsible. It was about the Vision’s body’s design, which was based on Jim Hammong, the WWII era Human Torch.

Torment is correct. Rao is correct. #29 isn’t what I’m looking for. #30, as other have pointed out, they were indeed separate groups. Rock’s outfit was Easy Company.

Correct. And ‘Hammong’ in my last post should be ‘Hammond’ … that’ll learn me to pay better attention.

#21 #22, #25 Correct.

#26, as another poster guessed, is Spider-Man.

#30 is Easy Company.

#27 - No one has guessed correctly yet.

Correct. William Moulton-Marston. Don’t know of anything he invented, though. Good question.

Oh, yes. I remember this little tidbit… I can’t recall MM’s former identity, but the team’s name was classically campy. “The Justice Experience.” Hi-larious.

Question: What did Wonder Woman’s creator invent?

The polygraph, or lie detector

Question: J’onn J’onzz the Martian Manhunter, had a costumed Secret Identity before being publicly revealed as a Martian. What was his name?

I believe that its John Jones.

Just the ones that haven’t been answered yet:

Hal Jordan wasn’t anywhere in Crisis that I recall, so I’ll say he’s missing from the poster/cover.

Earth is in Sector 2814, Krypton in Sector 2813.

Correct on all counts.

I always found it amusing that, despite the fact that Hal was retired as a GL at that point, they didn’t find a larger role for him to play in the Crisis. And considering that virtually every other DC character is on that poster, including several random GLs, it’s funny that Hal didn’t make the cut.

23.) [DC] What 1940’s Title featured the adventures of Dr. Fate and the Spectre?

29.) [Marvel] What fuels the powers of Gladiator, praetor of the Shiar Imperial Guard?
A note to TheOnlySaneOne : John Jones was an alias of Martian Manhunter, but not a ‘costumed’ identity.

Bosda is referring to MM’s first superhero activity, in the 70’s, which we learn of in [IIRC] one of the JSA or JLA Secret Files issues.

Yes to #1, no to #2.

Costumed ID, dude.

J’onn, in a human form, called himself the Bronze Wraith and was a member of the “Justice Experience.”

Okay, nobody’s biting on the outstanding Gladiator question…

It’s been speculated that his power is either fortified by Shi’ar technology or his own “belief” in his power.

But I only say that because that’s what OHTMU said.

Close Enough! I cite an issue of the *X-Men * several years ago where Cannonball(!) Kayoed Gladiator by making him doubt himself for an instant. Gladiator’s power waxes and wanes in proportion to his self-confidence.
