Candles are demonic...yes, that's right: CANDLES

Oh Balaam’s Ass! That was always good for a laugh! Heeehee!!!

And it says “ASS!!!” See, how cool is that?

The VanNattans call their site “Blessed Quietness” now. An odd choice considering the rabid virulent nature of Christianity they espouse.

I guess they took too much grief over the years from the Ass thing. The funny thing about it, the article on their site (which was posted years ago, when they were still called Balaam’s Ass) “proves” that Lewis has a sick, debauched mind because he uses the word ass (the animal, not the gluteus maximus)!

Still, what other site mixes in piano tuning and repair tips in with apocalyptic predictions and condemnations.

Spent a bit of time surfing Demonbusters today.

I couldn’t help but wonder about a couple of things. First off, there are massive numbers of prayers that a “True Chrstian” is supposed to say in order to ward off demons, curses, and general unpleasantness, many of which are quite lengthy, and which are supposed to be said several times a day. So, with all that time spent saying these prayers, how do they find time to do things like, oh, make a living?

Second- I checked out the alphabetical list of “names of demons”. One of these “demons” is Catholicism. So, if the Church Christ Himself established is demonic, is there really any hope for Christianity as a whole?

Third- I didn’t have a chance to comb through the entire site, but one of the main criticisms that "Christians’ of this ilk have with the Catholic Church is the use of formulaic prayers. Yet, probably half of what I saw on the site consists of formulaic prayers that are to be said pretty much continuously throughout the day. If they’re engaging in that kind of practice, doesn’t that make them demonic?

I was more than a little freaked out by this website. I wonder how someone who sees demons everywhere they look, hears them in every phone call, thinks every Charley horse they get is he result of a witch’s curse, and feels bound to cast these demons out on a continual basis manages to function on a day to day basis. Also, despite their claims to the contrary, this “callng down God’s judgement” on anyone who dares offend them strikes me as no different that cursing someone. No Christian should be asking a supernatural entity, especially not God, to bring harm to their enemies.

These people creep me the hell out.
