Is anyone else having this problem? I have the little text pointer icon when I hover over a post, but can’t do anything. Backspace is acting strangely, too. In fact just now I tried to backspace over the last part of this post’s title (ironically, “backspace, etc.”) and it deleted the entire thing. I’m using Chrome on Windows 10.
The highlighting thing is especially frustrating since so many folks post something I want to Google. OTOH, it does cut down on the long chain of tabs that suck up my time.
There’s a trade-off for switching themes, though. With the Straightdope 3.7.3 theme, you’ll no longer see the location and post count fields for guest accounts.
I know this particular issue is resolved; however, I just want to add some general advice. When confronted with any kind of browser problem, make trying different browsers part of your trouble shooting technique. It’s worked for me many times.
Poking around on google, I believe the update that broke it was released for Chrome on 5/26.
I personally don’t use Chrome, but it looks like there are some beta updates available if anyone wants to give those a try. I have no idea if one of these updates will fix the issue or not.
Correct. What I basically did was modify the Sultantheme to make it more like the original theme, and fix certain bugs. One of the bugs I fixed back then was the highlight color.
