Cant' remember the name of an 80's cartoon.

There use to be a cartoon in the 80’s and I can’t remember it’s name. These kids get sucked into some sort of musical world. The main villian was, Blaster, I think. And it played music videos. Or parts of music videos.
Also, while I think of it, what was the name of the either late 80’s or early 90’s show where (I was a little to old for this) if you bought action figures related to the show you could “interact” with it? Apparently you could shoot rays at the tv screen and it would shoot rays back, sometimes, apparently, hitting your character causing it to light up…or something like that.
Anyway, none of this is important, I’ve just been anoyed with myself that I can’t remember both show’s names.

I don’t know about the musical show, but the one that interacted with your toys sounds like Captain Powers and the Soldiers of the Future. J. Michael Stracyzinki, creator of Babylon 5, was head writer and story editor.

The show was called–Kidd Video.
And I loved it!!!

There are several sites on the Web that carry info on it.

The pixy, Glitter, was cute.

Yes, yes, that’s it. Thank you both.
