My Mom and I will be in Charleston, SC, from Oct. 21–25. I remember there are a few Dopers nearby; care to meet for lunch or dinner?

Rats! My chance to meet the fabled Eve, and I’m going to be in Jacksonville, FL working with my boss. Someone have a drink for me, and be sure to pull out the ladies’ chairs for them.

I should add that Dinner would work better for me than lunch since I don’t work in the downtown area.

I posted here earlier but apparently lost connection to the SD. We’re about 4 hours north with no plans for the week, and so might be able to come down. Wouldja post location, time and place

Skerri and I will be in touch, and once we get time and place set, she can post it (I shall be computer-free). Mind you, I will be accompanied by my Mom, who is very ladylike, but at the same time pretty much shock-proof.

I talked to Skerri today and now it is looking like dinner on Tuesday or Wednesday. I’m sure she or I will post once we know the final details.

Skerri called and we have finalized our plan:

We’ll be meeting Eve and her Mother Wednesday the 23rd at 8:00. The restaurant is called Poogan’s Porch located at 72 Queen St. Charleston. Phone (843) 577-2337. The reservation will be under the name Eve Golden of course ;). Hope Polycarp and family can make it.
