Cars you thought would be a blast to own...

IRL, I always though the “Le Car” was neat, for some unGodly reason. I think they were made by Renault.

Philly cops bought a few 10-12 years back to use downtown. I don’t think the experiment worked.

I did own a blue Marabella “Cinque-cento” when I lived in Sicily. Three normal guys could lift and move it, so parking was a breeze. I burned up a lot of brake pads though, living in Aci San Antonio on Mt. Etna.

The Eurodopers may know this car.

An interesting tale, brought to me by my favorite mechanics here in town. They live and breathe automobiles, and have two Amphicars. According to them, the inventor of the Amphicar died by drowning. Inebriation was a factor. What a strange world.

Hmmm.

69 Charger
92 Daytona IROC R/T
92 Stealth Turbo R/T
92 3000GT VR-4
99 Eclipse GSX
90 Z24 5-spd convertible. This is the first year it had a 3.1 and the last year for the silver ground effects. This was also the first of the two years they didn’t make a convertible. Only about 5% had 5-spds, too. I suppose I’m about 1/3 of the way there, cuz I have a 90 Z24 auto coupe. They didn’t make a convertible those years because they were test marketing a Beretta convertible. It didn’t sell well because of too much cowl shake. Speaking of these, I’d also like a
91 Beretta convertible
99 Viper GT2

I’m sure I’ll think of more.

Hey, on that note, if anyone knows of a 88, 89, or 91-94 Cav or Sunfire convertible 5-spd for sale, lemme know. I’m looking to buy one… I wanna do some custom work on one.

Whoever wanted the Batmobile: You can buy a replica. Of course, you’ll have to shell out some large bucks to get one (turn-key replicas for $85,000?)

Go here http://www.cyproductions.com/car.html to see more about it.

I always wanted to get a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere convertible and give it a bat motif (scalloped tail fins, black paint job, etc). In my opinion, that car looked like what batman probably drove before he made friends with George Barris.

I always liked my 65 maroon T-bird.
The interior was so scouped and curvy, with bucket back seats, and lots of odd dashboard buttons.

My kids called it the “Batmobile”.
I’d never have sold it, but a tree fell on it and it was the “Partsmobile”.

I’ve always been partial to Pick-Up Trucks myself, i’d settle for anything from 55 thru 60, be it Ford or Chevy.

As for cars, the Smokey and the Bandit car would work.
I’d also kill to have my 77 Firebird back. It was a limited edition with all the Trans Am air dams and spoiler, with a stock Hurst shifter 4 on the floor.
Any GTO would be good, or a 66 Nova. I had the great pleasure of driving my father-in-laws 66 Nova drag car for 2 years before my wife made me stop when she found out she was pregnant. Nuttin like doing a quarter-mile in 9 seconds at 150 mph. YEEE HAAAA
This should make a few people smile, a Fiero. Not just any Fiero, but the one my buddy had for 5 years. It wasn’t the normal 4 banger. His had a 6 cyclinder, but did have the draw back of being an automatic. yick.

Chieff, perhaps you mean the Fiat Cinquecento?
