Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoons Appreciation Thread

According to the IDMB there is an episode of Dexter’s Lab which is unsuitable for the kids. It’s called “Dexter’s Rude Removal” and has been circulated places, like conventions, but never aired on TV. Has anyone seen this episode and if so, would they enlighten me a bit? I’m very intruiged. I know they have shown Dexter in the nude in a previous episode, the one where he and Deedee change rooms. Is this a very racy episode?

I have seen it…I saw it at a convention a few years ago.
And it is the size of a typical story on Dexter’s Lab (i.e. the show is really 3 or 4 small cartoons)

The title alone made it one you knew they could never get away with. It showed Deedee flipping off the camera and Dexter mooning it. They speckled the offending parts out but everyone got the joke

The premise is that Dexter decided to remove the rude part of him to get in good with mom and dad. Deedee somehow winds up in the removal process with him and they pull the rudest part of them out of themselves. Not noticing any effects of this, they leave the machine running which in turn produces a rude Dexter and Deedee.
These two get loose and go to dinner where Mom does not suspect a thing.

Mom:“So hows your dinner Hun?”
Dexter:“Oh mom its F*uckin great!” The word was bleeped.
Mom faints.

Then evil Deedee and Dexter launch into a 5 minute bleeped out tirade that would make a sailor blush. Seriously, it was absolute chaos in the viewing room. The good Dex and Deedee figure out what is going on and hastily merge the evil back into them after profanity laden fight with their evil halfs.

“Well we took care of that small problem with nary a loose end” comments Dex.

Turning the corner, Mom stands there and screams their names at the top of her lungs, soap in hand. The end shot zooms in on Dexter, who looks out at the audience and goes

“Oh F*ck”
We were in complete hysterics.

Dammit, I got to start going to these conventions.

I like most of the in house stuff that Cartoon Network makes. (Mekhaz is right when he says that CN have revived television animation. Which makes the sad state of WB feature animation all the more depressing.)

When I first saw Ed, Edd and Eddy, I thought it was idiotic. Either it has gotten immensly better, or I just get it now. It’s the only show that has me laughing myself to tears. My favorite ep was this stream-of-consciousness thing where the Ed boys (“Double D,” the nerdy one in particular) try to fathom the meaning of everything, yet as they do the world turns weird. It had the funniest ending in the series.

The only problem is, I don’t remember the title of the episode, do any of you guys, know?

ditto that! I saw some news stories on it and it said people were openly filming the screen so there should be copies out there. Sadly all my less then legal venues have failed and nothing on Amazon or eBay, sigh.

It just went off as I was walking in the door at home today. Fortunately I had the presence of mind to go to the CN schedule. The episode is called “One Plus One Equals Ed”.

Once again I missed it, but now I know what to look for.

ooh ooh ooh
And my absolute favorite cartoon put on by Cartoon Cartoon? The one where Dexter … DIES!!! in a horrible roller coaster accident.

I meant moment in a cartoon.

Oh and that Ed, Edd and Eddy one where they learn all is on RIGHT NOW!!!

You must watch the sun set over the Pacific, Osiris.

It has sense come on and went off for those of us who watch the sun rise over the Atlantic.

And I don’t get the west coast feed of the Cartoon Network, unfortunately.

Soon, Cartoon Network will premier a new series.

The Justice League

Animation style will be similar to the sucessful Batman and Superman series of recent years.
