That’s because between Christmas and the first weekend in May is basically a dumping ground for B movies, and various kid stuff for spring break. It used to be that you had to wait for Memorial Day but studios have moved the beginning of “summer” up to the first weekend in May.
The more I watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Shock Treatment, the less believable it is to me that they were written by the same man, much less that they are related plotwise!
I just saw the first season of Six Feet Under. (Coincidentally, I’m going to a funeral tomorrow. Huh.) It was pretty good, though I’m not as wowed as I thought I’d be. It’s been hyped by so many people that maybe it can’t live up to it. I’ll keep watching for the characters I do like, and despite some of the most annoying and irritating characters on TV. If I’m still not wowed after S2, I’m calling it quits.

For what it’s worth…the idea that John Connor still had to send Kyle Reese back to protect Sarah in the changed timeline of “Sarah Connor Chronicles” is total bull. The man was already sent back from the original timeline, and it’s been established—in the new series, to boot—that changes to the timeline made in the past don’t effect time travelers that have already left the future.
It’s not that hard to wrap your mind around the mechanics of temporal maniuplation once you’ve got a few generally accepted ground rules set up, damnit!

faithfool, there are new House episodes coming in April.
The new X-Files movie releases in July, on my birthday. That might be the one movie I see in the theater this year.

I think this years Beauty and the Geek is pretty unwatchable. I mean, a tag football game for twenty minutes of the episode? That sucked.
And when are they going to have the geek makeover and get some of that hair off some of those faces?
And the beauties look really sleazy this season.
My wife and I are watching Deep Space 9 for the first time, and we’re just getting into season 6. This show is rocking my stockings.

Agreed - the last couple of eps seemed to have worked out the kinks. It ain’t Buffy, but it is very well written when it works…I am thinking of Ben and Sock talking thru which demons they’ve collected could beat each other up…
