Hey all!
Don’t you just love Catherine O’Hara? If I could spend a day with any celebrity, it would be Catherine O’Hara. She seems like a pleasant, funny, and down to Earth person.
My favorites are Home Alone (O’Hara + John Candy talking about leaving his kid at a funeral home= Priceless), Beetlejuice , and Best in Show .
I heard at one point she was getting her own show, but that was years ago, so I guess that didn’t work out, which is a bummer.
Anyone else love her? Hate her(I can’t imagine why)? What’s she up to these days?
Love her. What was the flick where she was an actress that was all excited because of the oscar buzz around her role in Home for Purim?
“Corky, we want you to LIVE!!!”

We could talk about her sister, Mary-Margaret.
Don’t forget her in A Mighty Wind , along with Eugene Levy as the folk duo Mitch & Mickey.

Love her! Particularly in Beetlejuice , and as the voice of Sally in The Nightmare Before Christmas .
The last time I remember her was the closing ceremonies of the 2010 Olympics, showing off some Canadian pride . I love her to pieces.
Years ago, I was playing some party game, and had to come up with a celebrity whose name began with C.
I picked Catherine O’Hara & no one else knew who she was.
Yeah, she’s pretty cool.

Nothing much to add here but to say I had a bit of crush on her when she was on SCTV back in the early 80s.
About 25 years ago I worked at a photo lab in downtown Toronto. We listened to a pretty eclectic bunch of artists.
One day we were listening to a Mary-Margaret O’Hara CD, when Catherine walked in to drop off a roll of film.
She got a real kick out of the coincidence! She was very nice in person.

There goes the neighborhood.
Just about everyone from the original SCTV crew was incredibly talented; only Joe Flaherty hasn’t gone on to major success.
I like O’Hara from the start, and she is great in just about every role she’s played.

A small vice-like object?
Can you direct me to the hotel?!?
“I said to him, “Ron, you’ve gotta do something!” And he says to me, “Well, why don’t you get one of those vagina enlargements ?””
I preferred her voice as Shock.
