Celebrities that look better with age

My thread is inspired by this thread, in which a number of posters said that they prefered “old” Sean Connery to “young” Sean Connery. This got me to thinking–are there any other celebrities that look better now than they did in their younger years?

My vote goes to Elvis Costello.

The Olsen Twins.
What?

Whoopi Goldberg.

Man, was she ugly in The Color Purple. She’s not exactly easy on the eyes now but she’s easier.

An amazing number of rock stars look much better today than they did when they were younger, although most of them seem to be British. Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood were doofuses back in the 60s but have achieved icon stature today.

Though almost everybody looks better without 70s hair and 80s clothing. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sean Connery.

Whoopi Goldberg, :dubious:.

I second Sean Connery (this seems to be universal). My vote goes to

Clint Eastwood

Pierce Brosnan and Robert Redford were almost too pretty when they were younger. I like their looks better now, but with Redford it’s only the looks. Most of his movies(not all) I don’t care for much.

Remember The Sting in 1974? It was Newman I wanted! Rowr.

Stockard Channing. Back in the days of Grease, I thought she was pretty hard on the eyes. But on The West Wing, I think she looks pretty good!

David Bowie, without a doubt.

Audrey Hepburn had a classic beauty that never faded away.

Pierce Brosnan, totally.
Bono
Dennis Quaid. I just prefer the way he looks now.

Another vote for Clint Eastwood.

Paul Newman.

I’ve got to disagree with Baker (my secret twin) on Redford – if you see a picture without gauze or vaseline, he looks like he was rode hard and put away wet.

Judy Davis. This may be just me.

Helen Hayes was a very plain young woman, but what a terrific-looking little old lady she was!

Notice how the vast majority of these choices are men?

I’ll second Stockard Channing, and fourth Sean Connery.

And add Donald Sutherland.

Another vote for Sean Connery.

Also, George Clooney and Gregory Peck.

Ozzy Osbourned looked incredibly bad in the 80s, with his big hair and bigger gut. Now he looks kinda classy, in a Rock Star Emeritus way.

I think Michelle Pfeiffer looked great in White Oleander. Back when she did Grease II, she wasn’t ugly, but she wasn’t as gorgeous as she is now.

Cher and Tina Turner have both aged extraordinarily well. I know Cher has had surgery; I like to think Tina hasn’t.

Joe Perry looks 100% better than he did in the late 70’s.

Bernadette Peters is just as hot as she used to be…maybe more so.

Michelle Pfieffer (excuse my spelling)
She has always been beautiful, but she seems to keep improving. By the time shes 100 she’ll be a goddess!
