It’s easy to bash Paris and Britney but are there any other celebs that you don’t like? Any reason? Something about them? Or you just don’t like 'em?
Don’t like Dennis Miller much. Think he’s smug and just don’t find him funny. It’s the smug part that bothers me so much.
I used to love Jay Leno when he was a standup but ever since he took over the Tonight Show, I can’t stand him. I think he’s become such a bland, blah, eager to please everyone, watered down entertainer. This guy really used to be hilarious but you’d never be able to tell by watching him now.
I can’t stand Jay Leno either. He seems like a smug jerk, he’s not funny (“bland and blah” is a perfect description), and he panders to such a middle-of-the-road audience that he just goes for the same overused targets, the same cheap shots (occasionally bordering on racist), and the most obvious, sad gags. He’s still making jokes about O.J. Simpson and Monica Lewinsky, after all this time. Leno sucks. He does humor aimed at the most clueless and square among people’s parents, and from all accounts, he is a real dick with a talent for alienating people.
Overall, I like Henry Rollins a lot. I’ve never cared for his music, but I think he is super-cool as a monologuist/writer/poet/stand-up comic/pop culture commentator.
Oprah Winfrey. I admire the fact that she managed to rise above the harsh life she had before becoming famous, but I can’t stand the way she panders to celebrities. Oprah, Dr. Phil, and Emeril Lagasse form the Unholy Trinity. If you don’t believe me, watch any of their shows and take a look at their audience. It’s like a freaking cult or something.
Julia Roberts and Meg Ryan: I have no idea why I dislike these two actresses so much, but I do. I don’t think Roberts is that great of an actress. As for Meg Ryan, if I see one more commercial for a Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan romantic comedy, I’m going to scream. TBS should be called the “Sleepless in Seattle” channel.
Tom Cruise, Smug Scientologist.
Bill O"Reilly, Dick.
Sean Hannity, Bigger Dick
Star Jones, talent-free, yet self-absorbed.
Mariah Carey, disturbing on multiple levels
I’m sure there are more, those are the just first ones that pop into my mind.

Make what you will of this fact but they’re both Scorpios.
They bring out the “bugs me” in people. So my wife says, and she’s married to a Scorpio
Star Jones is a nitwit as well. All she seems to do is talk about her extravagant wedding and the fact that she’s a lawyer. When she’s supposed to be interviewing celebrities, she’d much rather talk about herself – and she isn’t very talented or interesting.
Plus, she has NO sense of humor. Apparently she gets bent out of shape every time they make fun of her on Conan O’Brien or Saturday Night Live, writes angry letters, and can’t take a joke. Of course, this only makes the comedians make fun of her even more–and deservedly so.
I can’t stand her either. Ever since her show became so popular, her head’s gotten mighty big. And when she sings in that Gap commercial about how the guys call her cute and funny, I just can’t take it. You know she really means it.
And is it just me or does Garry Shandling’s character - Larry Sanders seem to have rubbed off on him a little too much? You don’t see much of him anymore but during the show’s heyday, when he was on a talk show or something, he’d came across really smug. He used to be such a likable guy.
Every time I see Ben Affleck, I am sent into a violent rage. I don’t know what it is about him…actually, yes I do. It is that smug, cocky look that seems to always be on his face. I think his acting is very much like a large bucket o’ donkey poo - stinky and it always leaves a very, very bad taste in my mouth. I don’t understand why people keep paying money to see his movies.
Barbra Streisand, Jeanne Garafalo, Al Franken, etc - leftist, talentless nutjobs. Alec Baldwin, on the other hand, I really like as an actor, no matter what his politics
**Nick Cage ** - a marvelous actor, but I can’t stand him for some reason. The only thing that got me into the theater to see *Leaving Las Vegas * (IMO his best work) was Elisabeth Shue’s breasts.
The usual Flavor-Of-The-Month Twinkies Hollywood puts out.
I could answer this at length – but then I’d have to admit I watch this freakin’ show most nights, which leaves us with the question of why I watch this show most nights, and I’d rather not go there.
Let me just mention, briefly, the fact that his cohosts (who you know are considered his underlings, at least in his own mind) refer to him as “POB,” which you know was his idea.
That and the bit he did on the living hell his life became after Paris Hilton’s phone got hacked, since she had his email address.
And …
No, let’s not go there. We’ll just leave it at the fact that, despite my familiarity with entertainment reporters/commentators, I find them, in general, a smarmy crew.
I think you are letting your politics get in the way of your ability to discern talent. Baba may not be to everyone’s taste, but her talent is irrefutable.
I second the Julia Roberts (I’ve heard rumours that she is nice only to men - other young women, forget about it - actually, it wasn’t a rumour; a local breakfast show host said it flat out).
I have nothing good to say about Gwyneth Paltrow and Kirsten Dunst. Don’t know why, but they both just rub me the wrong way. Like I want to slap the face offa them.
As for male celebrities, the ones the bug me the most are the aging ones that are still trying to rock the young, hip looks. Give it up, please. You’ve had your day, and you’re just looking silly now.
Michael Douglas. Ugh. All of his characters are the same…and they are all Michael Douglas! I just hate the way all his characters act, and from what little I’ve seen of him during interviews and such, they act just like him, so he clearly cannot act all that well, and his attitude is just bad to begin with. Ugh.
