Speaking of Roseanne, how about her and John Goodman, or John Goodman and Tom Arnold?
Actually, I heard that Edward did NOT want to become King at all, and he probably only used Wallis as the excuse to abdicate.

No one seems to have mentioned Dear Abby and Ann Landers yet and this surprises me. Granted it has been a handful of years, but for the world’s best known identical twins to not speak to one another for decades is one heck of a feud.
I can’t believe that we are probably coming to the end of this great thread and no one, no one, has mention the Sarah Bernhardt - Arnie Chonko contretemps of the mid 60’s.
Arnie’s comments at the Downtown Atheletic Club’s Heismen awards that, “What the hell were they thinking of. A peg-legged has-been starring as a twenty year old in “Jeanne Dore” when any number of French sluts where available for the roll.”
This more than stung Ms Bernhardt, who had already been dead for 41 years, into screaming the following: “What the hell do you expect from a safety in a run orientated league like the Big 10? Put the fuck-bump in a passing game league and he couldn’t cover me.”
Arnie later claimed that her aspersions on his pass coverage was why he never made it in the NFL.
For her part, The Divine Sarah claimed that his pointing out that she had lost a leg in 1915 was a big reason for her lack of film success after “Jeanne Dore.” “Yeah,” she told reporters, “Up till then the producers were so busy getting nobbers from aspiring starlets that they hadn’t noticed the missing gam.”
They haven’t spoken since the 1964 Heisman presentation.
Damn. I always thought it was a joke that they were sisters and I had no idea that they hate each other. Why are they feuding?
Well they aren’t feuding anymore. Ann is dead.
Here’s an article that mentions the Dear Abby/Ann Landers feud. It suggest mostly professional jealous because Eppie Lederer took over the Ann Landers column in 1955, asking her sister to help. A couple of months later her sister poofed off and started up her own column as Dear Abby.
So it stayed a sore spot, never really resolved, but probably blown out of proportion.
I don’t know if Black ever personally feued with Reagan but, despite being Republicans, they did have their political differences. Black is a moderate conservative who strongly and openly disagreed with Reagan’s environmental policies and stance on women’s rights issues. She also wasn’t too thrilled with the alliance Reagan formed with Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, and the rest of the religious right.
Dick Cavett and Norman Mailer. Cavett’s account of the notorious show, here.
What the…?! I have never heard this. I’m sure the ex-Beatles had their relational ups and downs over the years but I’ve not heard of “I Me Mine” being a cause. Besides how could GH mention the Beatles and leave John out of it??? “There was me, Paul, Ringo and another guy…”
I never heard that either, Torgo. But I didn’t comment, because of the Fab Four, I know the most about Paul and John. I don’t even have any books about about George…
Lucy Lu and Bill Murray.
Won’t be back as Bosley in Charlies Angels II.
In the quadrant of self-reflexive Beatle ill-will, I’d say that if ONE member was most disliked by THREE others than that one would be Paul since he was the one who sued the others for years on end.
As to the issue of the most acrimonious relationship between any TWO Beatles that would have to be between John and Paul. I’ve heard that George and John were actually quite tight for awhile, especially during the Mahareshi days when they thought along the same lines.
Rumors have been circulating that certain papers of the Queen Mum contain evidence that Hitler planned to allow Edward back to the throne once he conquered England and thus ruling as a puppet monarch. Oh, and apparently Wallis herself was having an affair with a Nazi officer who later became Hitler’s Foreign Minister.
Hence, Edward and Wallis getting themselves booted off to the Bahamas and tailed by the FBI and probably MI-5.
Lennon was quoted in the his last interviews with Playboy that he was bothered by George not even mentioning John as any kind of influence. Lennon being picky doesn’t really qualify as “one celebrity LOATHING another”. He was mildly upset.
Did anyone forget?
Mike Tyson and Holyfeild.
From the Menendez Brothers profile on E! a few nights ago (hey! it’s better than watching the victim of the week movie on Lifetime), Dominick Dunne and Leslie Abramson.
She was the brothers’ defense attorney and he covered the trial. He flat out didn’t believe their claim that their father sexually abused them and said so in no uncertain terms. Also thought she was a grandstanding drama-queen and was openly disrespectful of the judge.
She publicly snubbed him thereafter and would walk right past him in the hallways of the courtroom.
I’ve come across a reference to an intense mutual loathing going back to the '60’s (IIRC) shared by Peter Sellars (the comic actor, not the contemporary theater director) and someone else, but the name escapes me. I have a feeling it might’ve been Sir Alec Guinness. I think the other guy was British, also had some comic credentials, and was as famous and acclaimed as Sellars. Does this ring any bells?
Well, the IMDb trivia page says that Peter Sellers and Orson Welles hated each other. Welles was not British, of course, but it was a comic movie from the 60s.

Actually, Frank Chance wound up with it nearly every time, didn’t he?
Thanks, Robot Arm, for your reply. I still think it was somebody else, but that’s a good story.
