Yeah, I’ve been hearing “and the rest” a lot lately. My wife got a box set of the entire series for Christmas, so we’ve been gradually working our way through Season 1.

According to the Wikipedia page, the Professor’s name was Professor Roy Hinkley, Ph.D. (even though he was a high school teacher, and not an actual professor), the Skipper’s name was Jonas Grumby, ‘Lovey’ was Eunice Lovelle Wentworth Howell, and Ginger’s and Mary Ann’s last names were Grant and Summers, respectively. Gilligan himself didn’t have a full name during the series, though.

I was surprised, upon Russell Johnson’s death, to learn of his WWII record, because I’d have placed him as being thirtyish or early 30s when they filmed the first season.

Im fairly certain that Gilligans first name was Willie. Never appeared in the series, but was listed as part of a promotional poster used prior to the pilot episode.

I think we have a death for points (not my points, unfortunately): Dennis Frederiksenof the 1970s band Toto. I think he was on Fear Itself’s list. Wikipedia has his age as 62.

He was only with the band for 1 album and tour, in 1984-85
