Gregory Wiseman returned from his five-month trip to the ISS today, totally healthy and not at all dead in a tragic accident. Not even a little.
One can suffer from ALS for many many years. It’s different for everyone. Can go quick or go on for decades. Had him on a fantasy football team back in the 90’s. Had him on a death pool list a few years too. Not lately.

Know what the only thing more tragic than dying of ALS at 42 is? Having the guy who eventually dies of ALS at 42 on your short list, but dropping them.

Carol Ann Susi won’t be yelling for Howard Wolowitz any more.
It’ll be interesting to see how Howard handles losing his mommy.
UK actor Warren Clarke has died, aged 67. Best known from Dalziel and Pascoe, but I know him from a great comedic turn in Blackadder the Third.
Jane Byrne, Chicago mayor from 1979–1983, died today at 80 years of age.
ETA: The Trib says she was 81? Wikipedia has her birthday as May 24, 1934…
