They are hooked up. It’s just a nice neat job. Look at the pick of Oprah with the ‘Donate Now’ paddle in her hand. You can see the phone is plugged in and the wire goes straight down through the table.
There’s always one that decides to make it political…it’s just that the last person I expected it to be would be Stevie Wonder.
And while you had the big-name celebrities up front, who was answering the phones in the back - and did any of the names stick around to answer the phones for the Mountain and Pacific time zone viewers that got the show tape delayed?
Nitpick. You can see the little hill in some of the pictures where the wire goes to the back of the table under the table ‘cloth’.
