Anybody else planning on watching this?
Stevie sounded terrible. Just sayin’.
Why are they not introducing the performers, or putting an overlay at the bottom identifying them?
I was just wondering the same thing. I’m not all up on pop culture and that blonde singing right now is amazing - who is she?
Christina Aguilera (sp)?
I think star presence is not supposed to be important here. They aren’t saying the names of the performers on the Radio-Canada French language show for Haiti either.
Once Christina stays away from that warbley shit she does she’s very impressive and smoking hot to boot.
Oh and that’s Sting ![]()
Which is exactly why I didn’t clock to her name.
I’m not that bad. ![]()
I’m guessing they are not showing names for fear that it would seem intentionally self promotional.

I was watching but I got too sad…
I’m watching… some of these performances are incredible.
I have to say nearly all the singers are knocking it out of the park. I hate Justin Timberlake’s own music but he was absolute class on this.
Does anyone know if they’re going to make the songs available, like a fundraiser album or something? Because I would totally buy it.
Just as I was typing an answer Tom Hanks gives it on the show. Available on iTunes if you missed his bit.
I’m actually surprised at how much I’m enjoying this. I usually hate this Hollywood crap, but the performances are beautiful and the production is hopeful rather than like a remembrance service.
Adding how much they have personally donated would help as well
Yes, it’ll all be on iTunes.
J Hud’s “Let it Be” made me tear up.
I was surprised myself. What is impressive is that a 2 hr special of this quality was thrown together and played on all the broadcast stations.
I was impressed how well organized it was. There was some hits and misses musically, but they actually stayed on schedule and stayed on message. I hope whoever organized this does the Oscars!
