Celebrity That Is Most Hated By Other Celebrities?

Glover got recast in the “BTF” sequels due to his ego.

He’s also the biggest jerk in business.

Or, “Jimmy” as my husband calls him.

The TV series “Shark” was cancelled due to Jimmy’s antics. (not low ratings)
Jimmy would lock himself in his trailer playing online poker for hours while $$$ went down the drain.
They had to shut the show down because Jimmy was costing them too much money.
They could not get the pages done in a work day.

No one could stand him.
He’s a fantastic talent who is a huge pain in the ass.
He’s got one hell of a nasty temper combined with a huge ego.

We’re not talking about one bad day, but an ongoing ugly attitude towards the crew and other actors.

My husband worked with Steve Martin on “Pennies From Heaven”. (early 80’s)

The movie was not so hot.
Steve Martin got along with everyone and the only person easier to get along with was … Chris Walken. <~~~ A delightful man.

They had spontaneous tap dancing classes on set. For everyone. Cast & crew.

Steve Martin may have bad days, but he is not a difficult celebrity.

The only time I would ask for an autograph from a celebrity would be to get one of these cards. I’ve never understood the stalkerish mentality of bothering celebrities when they’re out and about. I mean what do you say? “Hi I know all about you but you know nothing about me!”

Heh. They solved part of that problem by killing off George entirely in the alternate 1985 reality created when Biff had the sports almanac from 2015.

Yeah, he’s an interesting case. He became beloved after his accident, but before it there weren’t a lot of kind words for him. He was evidently something of a womanizing prick. After he was left a quadriphlegic he became something of an icon.

Nevertheless, Robert Zemeckis still went back to working with him, casting him in his CGI version of Beowulf.

As Grendel.
IIRC, he said that one reason he could do this was that Glover didn’t actually have to be on the set with any other actors when he performed.

Yes. Yes, he is.

A bit of karma on that one.

Funny that Barbra Streisand and Mark Wahlberg came up. A friend worked on productions they were in. Apparently they are both unpleasant people. Barbra had a lighting tech fired for looking at her she walked through backstage. Wahlberg had an utter conniption about not having the right flavor of bottled water available. Total screaming fit. This was on the set of Invincible.

He came back the next day wearing a mustache.

I’ve heard of film crews being told not to talk to certain actors or even look at them. Can’t remember names now.

Not an actor but have heard from a couple who have met him that shel silverstein was one of the biggest assholes in the industry.

And Richard Gere Gerbil Jerk comes back with 21,300 entries.

Ah yes, Miss Ross, as she insists on being called. When she did the “We are the World” sessions people were worried “where she we put Diana so she isn’t mad?” Then someone suggested it doesn’t matter, she will get mad no matter where she is. Somebody who knew her growing up once said “She didn’t become a jerk because she became a star. She was a jerk when we worked at the Hudson’s department store.”

Although on the commentary track for “The TAMI Show”, music producer Steve Blinder swears she is a true professional, treats everybody well and he would work with her again without trepidation.
Who was the singer for Quiet Riot? Kevin DuBrow? On one of those “Behind the Music” one of the band members said they managed to do what was considered impossible: get the entire metal community to agree on one thing and that was to hate Quiet Riot because of the singer’s attitude.

Back when he was more A-listee than he is now, I recall hearing that Edward Norton was not well-liked by some of his fellow actors due to his intelligence and perfectionism. Kind of like he was smartest guy in the room and he wasn’t afraid to let everyone know about it. Though I guess some actors (Brad Pitt, Salma Hayek, DeNiro) got along with him without incident.

Katherine Heigl.

She managed to piss off the cast and crew of Grey’s Anatomy when she said in an interview that the reason she hadn’t been nominated for an Emmy one year was because of the particularly bad writing that season.

And I’ve heard that everyone involved with Knocked Up couldn’t stand her. Apparently, she has the ego from hell.

Came in here to see how many times he’d been mentioned! I wonder if he’s softened since getting cast on Community. His character plays off him being a bitter old bigot, and I just can’t see the show working if he was a diva.

I don’t think they had a problem with her while she was working on the movie (except that, of course, most of the rest of the cast had already worked on multiple projects together, both writing and improv). They had a problem after she complained to Vanity Fair about Judd Apatow’s portrayal of women as humorless party poopers.

I remember after all that Seth Rogen said, “I don’t know why she said all those things. We all had input in the script and if she didn’t like something while shooting she could have said it.”
