That’s because it isn’t humor. It’s just a really annoying way to derail and ruin a thread. When the stupid pun shit starts I usually just leave a thread and don’t even try to slog through the idiocy to get to the real posts anymore.
For me I’d agree with a lot here: Julia Roberts, Uma Thurman, SJP, Paris Hilton (ew), Robert Redford (never understood the appeal there)… I’ll also add Hugh Grant. He looks like he’s got some strange variation on Down Syndrome. Patrick Dempsey is fugly, too. Also never understood people thinking Sigourney Weaver was attractive–she looks like a lizard to me.
And I didn’t know his name but when Benicio del Toro was mentioned in this thread I Googled and I recognized him. But I had no idea anybody thought he was attractive! Gross!
But then, the guys I do think are attractive aren’t always the ones other people think are. Like I thought Ross on Friends was hot, but the other two guys were trolls.
I think the point is we are instructed by the media to judge beauty by the standards of these dubious examples. I know that I hear people crowing over how beautiful Julia Roberts is (or was — she hasn’t been prominent in the media for a while) and I have to ask myself how these people arrive at that conclusion.
She may be pretty to some, but she just doesn’t do it for me.
But on the other hand, I don’t see any reason to stoop to insults or exaggeration. I won’t call her ugly, and I won’t compare her to any farm animals. 
I guess I’m the only person in the whole world who thinks Paris is kinda stunning.
