Now that we have quite a few Central Pennsylvanians on this board, it’s time to get together and do something.
A few places were sort of brought up in this thread. Gettysburg would be fun, as would Hershey. Aaron and I will be in Texas from May 11th through May 22, so those dates are out for us. I’m thinking sometime in June, when it’ll be warm but not too warm.

Well, it kind of depends – will Aaron be on a leash, and if so can we mock you two mercilessly? Otherwise, I just don’t see the fun.

I’m interested! I have no clue what I’m doing this summer (graduating college May… 7th, 8th, something like that…) but I’ll be home in the Williamsport area so I’m definitely interested.

June sometime sounds great to supervenusfreak and me. Gettysburg, Hershey, Riverfront Park…wherever. We should be able to make it.
Money’s going to be tight for the foreseeable future, but the Gettysburg area is a day trip for me. I’d be willing to go.

How about Saturday, June 5?
Gettysburg is doable from Philly (about 2.5 hours away). Put me down in pencil as my calendar doesn’t go past 2 weeks.
If you can help with transportation, I’ll be living in Shippensburg this summer…
How about a bit later than the 5th? I need to be home from the 2nd to the 6th for my brother’s graduation.
I can’t do the fifth either.

Which is generally better for people – Saturday or Sunday this June?
In my case, I’m more available on Saturdays.
I don’t have a strong preference for Saturdays or Sundays – it’s just the fifth that’s out for me. (A young woman I’ve known all her life – since before her parents were married, actually, if that makes sense – will be graduating from high school.)
The 5th is bad for me, too. It’s my best friend’s birthday and my boss’s wedding. Saturdays are also easier than Sundays for me, and if anyone’s interested in transportation from the southwestern part of the state (Steelerphan, say?), let me know.
A concrete date would be nice. Bring it up on Saturday.
I checked a calendar of events for Gettysburg, concentrating on weekends in June. There is a brass band festival on the 12th, and starting on Friday the 25th is the Heritage week, leading into the reenactment of the battle and July 4th celebration.
I would suggest the weekend of the 12th or the 19th to avoid huge crowds; but for more things to do the 26th or 27th would be better.
Where would we meet? What to do then? I guess that’s what we need to find out.
