Sounds like everybody had a great time! As it happened, by Saturday afternoon (my time), I was praying at the Western Wall and touring the old city, before getting dinner, having a Havdallah service (the end of Shabbat) and heading off to a swanky Jerusalem club.
Sort of similar to a Dopefest.
Yeah, but without the “what on earth could these people possibly have in common?” thought as you walk up to the pavilion.
Alright, Well, I had intended to send my pics to you, Opal, but my current computer situation is crap…the computer that is hooked to the internet is so old it can’t read from my memory card, and the computer that can read my memory card does not have internet and has issues with disks. It’s really not worth the effort it would take to get the damn pictures online. They suck that bad. Sorry. 
Antares, the music you gave me was played for the commuters this morning on WSYC, in case you wanted to know. I do like the CD- also, great sound quality for the recording method.
One thing has me disappointed. I was sure that by now one of the folks I know who is on LJ would e-mail me concerning another Doper’s entry on ‘that shmuck in the cape’.

Incidentally, anyone who’s interested in what became of that rainbow monstrosity I was knitting at the Fest, I finished it.
A recent e-mail made me realize that I should clarify this. AFAIK Nobody is insulting me on LJ, this is why I’m upset.
Second, I wasn’t trying to hijack this thread.
Finally, I liked the rainbow hat.
I’ll get behind that first sentiment. It’s a weird combination of relief that none of those nice people I met last Saturday is a closet anonymous backstabber and disappointment that we, as a group, were apparently so boring that we didn’t even merit false charges of drug-taking and public sex acts.

I should have clicked that link before posting. At the Dopefest, I had assumed it would be a normal winter cap when finished. Instead, it’s a marvellous old fashion sleeping cap. This moves it from like to love. Beautiful! This is not meant as sarcasm. It really is eyecatching with a delightful sense of both nostalgia and whimsy.

I’d also be up for a two-day GettysDope. As it is, HJay’s been talking about heading back to Gettysburg to tour the battlefields properly, and I’d rather like to do that with a knowledgeable guide. As it is, he, the other gentleman I was with, and I did slip off to view a part of the battlefield HJay wanted to check out. Both gentlemen say “Hi”.
