I’ll be wearing a black and white french maid’s costume, complete with frilly tutu and a feather duster. I’ll have on fishnet stockings and be wearing 8 inch stilletto heels.
Unfortunately, I won’t be wearing that to Pegasus to meet you fine people. I have…how to say it…other plans.
Provided I get hold of my friend to tape Amazing Race tonight, I shall be there. I’m wearing stripes. Lots of them. I have humidified hair and my eyes are probably a little bloodshot. Not that you want to get that close.
I’m still planning on being there by 6 or so. I shall not decribe myself so as to surprise people with my splendiferousness. [sub]Yeah, that’s it.[/sub]
It looks like the weather is holding for a rooftop gathering. At least it’s not raining. I think we’ll all be a bit damp from the humidity, though. Gundy, you won’t be the only one glistening.
Hmm… Just caught this. If I can got out of the office by 6:30 or so, I’ll stop by for a drink. Wish I could join you for dinner, too, but have to be somewhere else later.
My husband and I will be at Pegasus tonight. It’s about time I got out of my shy, antisocial cuckoon (spelling intentional) and attended something ChiDop-y.
Besides, we have a mutual friend in Seattle, and we should definitely dish gossip on them.
Cervaise, you can tell me if Passionada is worth seeing (I have a free pass on Monday).
A dancing mushroom with bloodshot eyes? That sounds more like Alice in Wonderland when it’s shown at Tech at Northwestern. I think I was the only one there who had not partaken of psychoative substances.
I just got back from our Thursday night outing and I have to say that if I knew I’d be meeting such a great group of people I’d have attended a doper’s outing long ago.
This was my first experience meeting dopers IRL, and I was nervous at first, but I really REALLY liked the people I met. My Only regret is that I didn’t get to talk to the people at the other end of the table - but hopefully I’ll get a chance to in the future.
Thank you all! I look forward to meeting more dopers!
Everything here applies to me too. It was nice meeting you all. We had a wonderful time, and my sometimes crippling shyness went away almost immediately. People have no idea how amazing that is! Cervaise and herownself, thank you for getting me “out there.”
I do have to say that I’ve never ever seen a restaurant bill that big ($320.00 + $64.00 tip for 12 people, appetizers and drinks only. The mind boggles!!) so, money-wise, I doubt we’ll be able to attend too many of these gatherings, but I’m glad I went to this one. You all are fantastic!
