Saskatchewan working hard to become the Eastern team?
Whatever works!
Riders 31, Ottawa 14 with 9 minutes to go in the Eastern Semi-Final.
One spectacular rushing TD for 74 yards on a hand-off. Couple of turn-overs.

A friend who’s at the game in Ottawa texted that the RedBlack fans are booing their own team.
And RedBlack fans shown on TV leaving the stadium.
RedBlacks get a touchdown! And then they miss the convert!?! Still a three-score game.
Final score: Saskatchewan 31, Ottawa 20.
Defending Grey Cup champs are out.
Riders off to Toronto next week for the Eastern Final!
Next up: Western Semi-Final: Edmonton at Winnipeg.
Better buy your tickets quick; last I checked, there were only a few thousand still available.
Yes, but now that Torontonians know that it’s the Riders who will be playing, I’m sure the tix will be going fast!
I was at the Argos/Riders game on Oct. 7 and there were quite a few people wearing Riders apparel (including myself). The stadium wasn’t anywhere near capacity, though.
Told Ya!
Darrell Davis: Riders-Argos drawing crowds
Argos ticket sales surpass 20,000 for East Final against Riders
This matches what I’ve seen elsewhere in articles about trends in marketing in the CFL: there is a consistent pattern across the League that when the Riders are the visiting team in the regular season, there is a spike in ticket sales. Yes, I’m sure Argos fans are coming out of the woodworks for this game, but so too are Rider fans.
How can we spot you in the crowd on Sunday, Hogarth?
Oh, forgot to mention. Apparently two teams in Alberta are having some sort of game on Sunday as well.
Pity the Bombers: their Grey Cup drought is now 27 years and counting.
I looked at tickets on Thursday (there were still quite a few $27 seats left), but I’m getting to be a wussy in my old age when it comes to sitting outside in cool weather.
Wow, that’s even more expensive than parking at the Super Bowl. You did mean parking spots, right? You couldn’t have meant seats.
And that’s Canadian dollars, so about $21 US.
Cool? Forecast is plus 4, man! That’s balmy!
Pfft. Last Western Final I went to was -6, with windchill taking it to -15, plus snow! (Sask v Calgary in Calgary, 2013).
It’s sad to see a transplanted Saskatchewanian lose their winter hardiness.
Not looking good for the Green & White. 14-3 Argos in 2nd Quarter.
End of 3rd quarter. 18-3. Your green and white have a lot of work to do.
Pulled to within 8. 18-10 with about 9 minutes to go.
18-13 with 4 minutes.
Trying to make it a game now.
