Change your SDMB Location to "Obama Country"!

I am sort of planning on applying to a few universities in the UK for grad school if Obama loses, but it’s more that I definitely want to stay in the US if he wins.

Special note to Leaffan - I’ll change my addy back to “Leaffan’s House” after I start saying, “President Obama”.

I’ll bet this is driving you nuts. (heh-heh)

What Exit? - Nice location, just reread the posts

And people wonder why this board doesn’t have avatars.

Okay, in keeping with his Secret Muslim Society affiliation, I’ve done it.

Oh boy, now we can combine two of my least favorite things about the SDMB–opaque locations and the Cult of Obama.

To hit the trifecta, you’ll have to tie it into a debate about whether God exists.

Of course he exists. Obama is only his latest incarnation. Duh! :stuck_out_tongue:

That and Halle Berry in Race the Sun.

There’s a new sheriff in town!

Ok

Since he’s the guy who got me voting, why not?

This is silly! I’m in.

It’s not a cult, it’s “enthusiasm.” People used to be allowed to have it, even for politicians.

On NPR today on the ride in, I heard people talking about Robert Kennedy. I have never felt the way they did for a candidate. I am coming closest with Obama. He gives me hope this country is ready to be better and improve. He gives me hope we will soon repair our standing in the world community. I like this feeling. I also like that I am not choosing between the lesser of two evils. I like both candidates for the first time in my life. This is wonderful. I am very happy he and John McCain won their nominations. This is a new feeling for me. My pride in country had been wrecked in the last 7 years. I think it can be restored.

Obama Country’s Hat?

Y’know, I know just how you feel. I strongly prefer Obama, and agree with him on far more issues, but believe McCain is a man of honor who will make decisions for what he sees as the good of the nation. I would not be horribly disappointed if he wins, the way I was (or would’ve been) for virtually every GOP nominee of the past 30 years.

I’m in.

Hey, why not. I’ve always wanted to join a cult.

Aw, what the hell.

Ironically, this is the most informative my Location field has ever been, Freddy the Pig!

My brother and I were recently talking about the idea of having two quality candidates running for president, and how refreshing it is.
