If you change your e-mail address is there a confirmation required before you can post again?
P.S. this is my 100th post

Hey, your numbers match! 2000 and 100!
You’re talking about changing your e-mail address in your Profile? AFAIK, there’s no problem with that, nor is any confirmation required. Change away.
Yeah cool
Recently you must have had 2000 and 2000 posts!
I would add the recommendation that you should only use e-mail addresses that are current and valid and that you check frequently (or at least that you check frequently while you’re a poster at the SDMB).
If a moderator or administrator e-mails you with a question or concern, and you don’t answer the e-mail, the board staff member may be inclined to take some actions that could have been prevented by an explanation that you would have given via e-mail.
For example, if I see a post in “Comments on Cecil’s Columns” that doesn’t seem to relate to a Straight Dope column, I might e-mail the poster to say “to which column are you referring?” If they don’t answer back, I would probably move it. If they e-mail me with the mention of the column to which the post refers, I wouldn’t move the thread.

Good for you.
