Please, be sure that the email in your registration is correct.
First, it’s a violation of our rules not to have an up-to-date email address in your registration. And second, we sometimes do want to get in touch with by email – for example, I’ve wanted to thank several people who reported bad posts, and I find they have no valid email.
If you do correct your email address be sure you get the confirmation email the system generates (just like when you first registered). All address and password changes generate this move; the system pulls your registration out of the member database and stores it in a security holding queue. While in the holding queue you can read the board but not post.
The confirmation email directs you to a url. Going to that url moves your registration back into the member database and all privileges are restored.
Be sure to check your spam filter; these days, that’s where that email tends to go.
